Guest guest
, I introduced ALA during the first round of chelation and we've seen only good things from chelation (not always progress, but never regress from chelation). My view is this: any time we move metals by chelating we are risking some going into the brain. Yes, there is the BBB to prevent some of this from happening, but it is obvious from autopsies that the BBB is not 100% effective in this capacity, even in adults. I have also read that the BBB can be compromised by viral problems. If this is true, it would mean a significant number of our kids have a less than optimal BBB. For these reasons and more, I chose to use ALA as soon as I started chelating. It is also for these reasons that I am fanatical about the topic of redistribution. I hope this helps.
