Guest guest
Have you considered MS (multiple sclerosis [sp?])? I had a friend and his moved around strange paces and weird paces. I wish he was still around. I'd ask about more symptoms for you. Sabra
Guest guest
I've heard that PA moves around but.... that > fast???... that much??? Sandy, it sure sounds like PA to me, and similar to what I go through. I'd love to have a pain-free day...had 2 this year, when I was in days 3 & 4 of a medrol dose pack. After working all day, I soak in the hot tub, and then relax with a bag of ice, moving it from my feet, to lower back, neck, jaw, whereever else I need it. Doing this makes it possible to get up the next morning. I have a harder time using ice in the winter when it's cold (and I have Reynaulds), so I'll often use a heating pad instead. Did you only start mtx 4 weeks ago? If so, you need to give it more time to get working. I read a news article this week about using effectivenss of using Humira and mtx. This is a combo I've been considering, does anyone do this and have any input? Thanks. Sandy, hang in there.... warm blessings, jane --- Sandy swohio <madrekatz@...> wrote: > For the last couple of weeks I've been in a flare of > sorts. Hi Sandy, Sorry I've taken so long to answer this. I was also amazed at how quickly it jumped about. Sit down for 10 mins. Get back up and you can hardly walk because of the pain in your heel. Or vice versa! lol It doesn't work the way you would have imagined it would, does it? Take care,
Guest guest
If you meet the counting rules for mercury toxicity then your mineral transport in deranged and you cannot interprete most of the minerals section of the test. My daughter met the counting rules when she was 9 month old. I did not met any of them even if my mercury level was in the red. I stopped eating seafood and my mercury level went into the green zone. I countinued breasfeeding her and one year later her hair test was much more normal looking. I did give her a pinch of zinc, selenium and omega 3 when she was 9 mo to help her detoxify on her own. My feeling is that baby hair is not very reliable. They do not grow much hair at that age and I remember that I had to shave all my daughter's hair in the back of her head to do the test. That hair was from in utero still 9 mo. > > Hi, > Both my 11 month old and myself had our hair tests done and both > indicate metal toxicity. Guest guest
Thanks , Yes, we both meet the counting rules. I know that this messes up your mineral transport but does it mean that those numbers on the essential elements are irrelevant? I mean, are they an accurate picture of what both my daughter and I are missing or overloaded on? > > > > Hi, > > Both my 11 month old and myself had our hair tests done and both > > indicate metal toxicity. Guest guest
Hi Terri Something to keep in mind is that hair tests for lactating women quite commonly appear to have disordered mineral transport, even when the mother is actually healthy. This doesn't necessarily mean that you don't have mercury issues, just that your present stiuation should be taken into account. More information on this is available in Andy Cutler's hair test book. Guest guest
Breastfeeding is such a good thing!! I just got an idea...off the cuff but worth looking into... If you know she has food intolerances she also may not be absorbing her vitamins and minerals. That would explain why she could be low in certain ones. I started giving digestive enzymes to my daughter when she was younger than yours by a few months. She was a spit up monster, so many times a day I was scared to let anyone hold her. I started the enzymes in the morning and by that night she had stopped. She also started sleeping through the night and I would swear she was a happier baby. Josie is mostly on the enzyme group though sometimes here as well. She has a daughter with food issues and when she was pregnant with her son she took the enzymes and I know I am forgetting stuff but her son isn't having the issues her daughter did. I would really try posting there and ask her specifics, she is a wealth if information! Some things you can likely supplement but I would be hesitant in giving much, she is very young. The enzymes though are so very safe and if that would help her absorb what she is getting supplementation isn't necessary. Is she eating any solid foods yet? Making sure what she ate was really healthy, not processed and as much of it as organic as you can would be helpful. I hope that helps somewhat?! kumadexmom <kumadexmom@...> wrote: I'm going to keep b'feeding her for a good long time. She's also highly allergic to wheat and I know that once allergic babies stop nursing things usually get worse. I am taking a cal/mag supplement so I guess that's good. . . She's too little to supplement directly (I think?????) Thanks for responding ! ~Terri > > > > Hi, > > Both my 11 month old and myself had our hair tests done and both > > indicate metal toxicity. In fact, it might be that neither of you are properly absorbing it. Either you are not excreting it thru your milk, or she does not have sufficient vitamin D and magnesium to properly absorb it, or both. You might be excreting all your boron into your milk, causing her to be high. Dana
