Virastop & fever

Just some food for thought- unless a fever gets REALLY high, it is actually

one of the body's best ways of dealing with viruses & infection. And of

course, if you're using Virastop, you are trying to let the body deal with

the viruses, no?

A naturopathic doctor I saw actually drove his kids' fevers UP with a

special tea when they were sick. Uncomfortable, I know. But if you bring the

fever down, the body can't do what it needs to do to take care of the issue.

Unless the fever gets above at least 104, it isn't dangerous, just

uncomfortable.

I had fever of 105.5 & febrile seizures a few years ago with a hospital

infection & the doctors & nurses at the Mayo Clinic were fairly unconcerned

(my husband was panicked, thinking I could suffer brain damage). They said

it would have to go higher to have that effect.

We had that here . The Motrin only worked once. The rest of

the time the fever raged. I was afraid to give him more than the

recommended dose of Motrin. I now have Belladonna and I'm hoping

we're a bit more successful with it if the need arises.

We had this happening even after we stopped the Virastop and were

just using a small amount of other antiviral. One of the many

reason that our buildup when we start the antiviral protocol again

will be very, very slow.
