It sounds like yeast. When my daughter had that on her leg I put tea

tree oil on it 2X/day and it cleared up quickly.

I saw this in my oldest son whenever he wore Huggies brand pull-ups

(not regular Huggies diapers, but their pull-ups).

My guess is food/supplement related...my son had several dry spots on

his bottom a few weeks ago...try Aquaphor...it may just be the metals

coming out and irritating his bottom.

We've seen it as have others who described the same thing, " on the

thigh just below the buttocks " . It was eczema and for us Cortaid

lotion cleared it up. I don't think that's a good long term fix, but

we never saw it again. It's cause was a mystery but we suspect allergy.

This sounds like how my son's vitamin A toxicity rash started, altho

my son's started on the top of his thigh. Do you give any vitamin A?

If so, drop it for a few days, see if the rash goes away.
