My naturopath just told me of a lyme study where they used 10 capsules of garlic (allicin) a day and at the end of 8 weeks 9 out of 10 of the people had all lyme symptoms gone.

Might be a consideration.

Maarit, I'm not usually on this board but I'm doing some research on ldn. I wanted to share that if you are unable to get tested but you think there's a good chance you have late stage lyme, there are things you can do on your own that don't require antibiotics. Many of us with lyme are using the salt/vitamin C protocol, rife, natural antibiotics such as colloidal silver and herbals, etc. These are things you can do pretty much anywhere, and mostly can't hurt if you didn't have lyme. They might even help if it were some other infection. I would read the newest book by Rosner, look at the boards where people are using these approaches and make your own choices. It appears to me that the alternatives are yielding much better results than long term antibiotics anyway.http://www.successfulhealing.com/Lyme-Disease-Specific-Wellnes

I thought this board was for ONLY LDN Topics and nothing Off Topic?? Anytime I posted an Off Topic Subject I got pitched a fit at, so why is it ok for others to post Off Topic and not me and others??? How fair is that???

[low dose naltrexone] OT Re:Lyme's

I'm not sure if this is what you're referring to but there's recently been a study of a product called allimed. It's stabilized allicin from garlic. Apparently the results were like 97-100 % of the lyme was gone from the blood of just about each person. I may have this wrong but that's the idea. They used the very strongest form of this. I bought some and it's really expensive. However if you've got lyme you know it may be worth it. http://www.allimed. us/Be sure to ask for their strongest version of this. She is giving me the CD to listen to the entire study, so I will report then, probably next week. She said the study is so new it's not on the Internet yet, at least she couldn't find anything.

I'll probably get the CD some time next week and let you know.

Arlene

PS she has me starting on 2 capsules a day, 180 mg each, by Designs for Health, but I don't know if that's the mgs.

Russ

She said she did a search, but nothing showed up because it's so new. I'm getting the CD, so I'll be able to tell more.

I'm not sure what she searched for, but I'll relay any info I get.

be well

It is a place: thetown of Lyme, Connec

ticut. The malady, correctly referred to, is "Lyme disease".Precision is incredibly important in medicine and inscience. Doing a Web search of "Lyme's disease" mightwell miss results which would have been found if thecorrect form of the name had been used.I tell friends and family constantly, when they aredealing with doctors, and the doctor uses an unfamiliarterm, that what they must do is to ask their doctor toWRITE THE WORD DOWN, SPELLED CORRECTLY. And they needto cross-check that later in case the doctor erred, which does happen.People have died from small errors in prescriptions, where they were given a similar-sounding drug whichwas inappropriate for their condition. There is a story about a woman who came in to a clinicin extreme distress. The staff asked her what her illness was, so that they could give her assistance. She said, "It's my smilin', moanin' Jesus.""Your what?" s

a id the nurse."It's my smilin', moanin' Jesus."No one had any idea what she was talking about, andthe woman sat there in severe pain for many hours, repeating that it was her "smilin', moanin' Jesus."Finally someone managed to figure out who her previousdoctor had been, and called that doctor's office.Spinal meningitis. An informed, active patient needs to strive for accuracy in all things, even the smallest.--

Arlene, I'd really like to hear more about this once you hear the

CD. I'm wondering if this could be a less expensive source of the

same type of product. I'm paying something like $130 an ounce for

the allimed. could I impose on you to email me with what you learn,

or just alert me when you've posted on this board? I don't come here

often, so it would really help me.

My email is angie@...

Thanks so much!
