Guest guest
, Thank you so much for answering my email! I don't know of any food intolerences that I might have, nor do I know if I have IBS or leaky gut. I do have a tremendous constipation problem. I have tried Glucosaine, Chondroitin and MSM in the past on two different occasions for several months each time with no changes. I stopped at a GNC store this afternoon and asked them what they thought. They recommended I do a complete body cleansing first of all for two weeks, and then try Glucosaine, Chondroitin and MSM. Since we are going on vacation in two weeks I didn't want to start anything like that. I tried to find info on 's site and also have her book, but I am still so confused. Any additional info you might have to share would be greatly appreciated! Carolyn

Guest guest
Hey, I had read that arthritis can be ecaerbated by food intolerances. The intolerances lead to a leaky gut. The resulting holes let partially digested food particles into the bloodstream where they collect in the joints causing pain and inflamation. I would highly recommend Glucosaine, Chondroitin and MSM which can be found in the same supplement. These will help your body rebuild lost and damaged cartalige. I actually give this to my dog who was really having a bad time. She was crying out in pain and her x-rays were not looking good. We actually lost her mother to arthritis, couldn't control her pain. We started her on this and about a month later we started seeing a major improvement. Even my son's therapist commented. We then reached a plateau so I added flaxseed oil. Wow what a difference that has made. A year later and as long as she gets her supplements she is great. I know I am talking about a dog but I also know this works for adults as well. Back to enzymes, sorry! Have you looked at 's website? It is www.enzymestuff.com There is a lot of information there. We use Houstons enzymes and their website is www.houstonni.com Different enzymes work on different foods that we eat. It would depend on what your body wasn't digesting well to know what you would need. I think there are certain ones like others have said that are the usual suspects. It might take some experimenting. What I do for my IBS is take the ones I give my son, they cover just about everything. Works great for that as well. I would look at those websites. I will look in 's book to see what is said about those. Did I help any?? carolynj77 <carolynj77@...> wrote: I'm so confused. I had asked about enzymes for osteoarthritis (I had been diagnosed with fibromylgia many years ago also). I got responses back to take protease, peptizydes, and IP6. I can't even find out what IP6 is and what it is used for. Someone said that Peptizydes might contain protease. Anyone know how to unravel this all? It seems like all of a sudden arthritis is just taking over my body. Every day a new joint is swollen and sore. I only had mild arthritis a year ago. Thanks for any help you might be able to give me. Guest guest
Not a problem, my pleasure, I have to make dinner for a couple families right now but will see what I can find tonight and tomorrow. There has got to be something for you! I do know that I have read my homeopathy group talking about obstacles to a cure. Things like bad diet, too many toxins in the body. Sometimes you have to " clean house " before treatments will work. Bad analogy I know! Will talk to you soon! carolynj77@... wrote: , Thank you so much for answering my email! Guest guest
Lalita, Thank you so much for your response. Is alkaline water something that I can buy or something that I mix together? I have never heard of it before but sure would like to try. Thanks again. Carolyn

Back in February, I could no longer squat down, my knees were so bad. I started alkalizing (drinking alkaline water, and emphasizing alkaline-forming foods). Three months later, my knees are 95% better (other joints, too). (I also lost 15 pounds!) Best wishes, Lalita
Guest guest
There should be information on the link posted for enzymes that help arthritis. I am not sure of the spelling but it is, Wobozyme. Something like that. It is taken between meals and helps digest that undigested protien that frees itself into your body and causes inflammation. I think they learned allot about how to help people by trying these therapies out on animals. My dog also benifits by taking a joint supplement. My husband began taking one that has some kind of joint fluid help in it. I give my dog one with MSM in it because it helps pain. This dog I have was my mothers and I took him in when she past away. He had developed arthritis for some time. Actually there is a very excellent liquid supplement made with aloe vera and the joint supplments in it called Healthy Joints. My dog got allergic to the aloe vera and I had to stop the stuff. But the help it gave him first was incredible. He also was crying when walking and after 2 weeks he was jumping around. Now I have him on tablets and he isn't in pain but didn't have as much energy as with the liquid formula. He also has lots of allergies. I had to get him off dry dog food and I also began adding enzymes and vitamin C to his food. He is slow going up and down the steps but you would think he is 8 years old now and not 11. Liz D. Guest guest
Yes, If you have constipation you have to get your gut to function better. I find bowel cleanse products with turkey rhubarb in it to be very helpful. You don't get regulated overnight. Clean yourself out on the weekend, about every other one. Also take a balance enzyme formula, they help clean the bowel also. Don't got overboard because when you do a cleanse it will release toxins and you will feel sick all over. If so, take an enema to get the toxins flushed out. When you get back to taking your joint formula, stick with it long term. Some people have to double the dose to get it built up in the body before it works. Also take a full dose in the morning and half a dose in the afternoon. At least stay on this for two months and look for some improvement. But dig into your diet for trigger foods. You should find information on an elimination diet. This will help allot. My brother-In-Law had bad arthritis that the medication irritated his gut so bad he couldn't take the pain medication anymore and the doctor didn't know what to do. A nurse knew of some alternatives and the first thing they had him take was a liquid aloe vera juice twice a day on an empty stomach before eating. It calmed his gut down and his joints got better. Also all his life he suffered from bad psoriasis and it cleared up and went away! Guest guest
Liz, I could not find anything similar to 'Wobozyme' on the website. Also, where would I get a bowel cleanse product with turkey rhubarb. As you see, I am totally new to the enzyme world but am desperately trying to find something that will help me. Thank you so much for all your help. Carolyn

Guest guest
Wow, Dana, what an eye opener! I went to this website and read all the information about IP6, and it was like a lightbulb went off. I have been taking huge doses of iron supplements just to try and feel better. I'll bet that is what is causing a lot of my problem. Anyway I ordered some of the IP6 and am going to start with this. One question though. I'll be going to Florida in two weeks. Would it be wise to hold off before starting these until I get back. Thanks for everything! Guest guest
Actually, you are referring to Wobenzyme, which has been around for years. Developed by MucosPharmos, a German company, it is a combination of pancreatic enzymes (trypsin and chymotrypsin) and plant enzymes, plus some botanicals as well. They tend to market it as an implied anti-inflammatory product. Devin > Liz, > > I could not find anything similar to 'Wobozyme' on the website. I started using enzymes for myself, and noticed my arthritis issues were greatly improved. I know others have posted about enzymes helping with fibro also. Then I started taking my son's IP6 [for iron and calcium toxicity] and noticed an even further improvement of my arthritis issues. I do have a tremendous constipation problem. This would indicate food intolerance issues, or deficiency in certain nutrients like possibly magnesium, so enzymes can help. Guest guest
No, but it is a health claim that companies are not supposed to make (publicly, anyway), even though there is evidence that proteases can be anti-inflammatory. > Devin, > > Thank you for the info. Guest guest
One more thing. Sorry my head thinks in parts and not all at one time. I woke up this morning and recalled something important I read about arthritis. That it is very important to control inflammation, especially swelling. If you have to take an over the counter medication or a medication the doctor gives you short term, do so. I say that because it might take you some time to get your body in a position where it is becoming cleaner and detoxing. Sometimes detoxing can cause more inflammation. The reason for what I say is, that I read, each time the body swells up in pain and inflammation it causes damage to joint tissue. Then when the inflammation subsides you will find you have less function in the body part. Especially like knees and hips that are weight bearing. So even if soaking helps or rubbing a cream on your joints help, continue to do something until you find ways to get your body in its balance. Looking for natural answers doesn't always come along quickly. I found that out with trying to get my digestive system in order. Took a very long time and I was glad I didn't have a disease to battle. Even the doctors I saw was running out of ideas. Guest guest
You could try any product at the health food store. I read many people getting well on various products. I tried many and they didn't help me though. No sure why. The product I buy is from Advanced Naturals called CleanseMax II. It is a day and night formula but I never felt good on the day formula so take only the night formula. The day formula is to help your body detox and the night is the laxative. I believe you can get the plain laxative under the name of Cleanse Max. Some stores sell it and you can find it on the net. Look around to get the best price. This new bottle I bought does not call it turkey rhubarb but just Rhubarb. Botanical name-(Rheum officinalis). I like to pay for the CleanseMax II because it has some herbs that helps your digestive system, like ginger root, fennel, slippery elm, marshmallow and a Triphala mix. This formula is kind to my digestion but it will move you suddenly the next day, so stay near a bathroom. Pleasingly this product moves out mucus that other products didn't. I notice that other products that are laxatives that force your bowels to move by filling water into your colon, just moves allot of stool. This stuff moved old stuff out of me. I waited so long for this. I will have to search a bit on the enzyme because I am sure I misspelled the name and that could be why you can't find it. It is 800mg capsules, and the adult dose indicates 2 capsules 2x per day. If you have a tendency toward kidney stones, start with about 1/4 capsule. Two years ago, I was hospitalized for 3 days with a kidney stone causing a systemic kidney infection. I started the Cell Forte at one capsule [my usual " start with 1/4 dose " mentality] and it gave me the *hint* of kidney stones in both kidneys. I immediately took olive leaf extract as anti-biotic. Then the next day I reduced the dose to 1/4 capsule and took it 2x per day, to flush the excess calcium. This worked well, but even today about 3 weeks later, I don't take more than 1/2 capsule 2x per day. > One question though. I'll be going to Florida in two weeks. Would it be wise > to hold off before starting these until I get back. Well, first drop that excess iron dose! Then yes, I would wait, or maybe start now because you have two weeks to work things out. Iron moving thru the body does tend to aggravate yeast, both in my kids and myself. So increase your yeast protocol. Dana
