Guest guest
I was diagnosed with ALS in August of last year. I went to see a psychiatrist today about antidepressants -- and she recommended trying low dose Naltrexone. She gave me a script for 3 mg doses. I talked to my pharmacist, who is also a pharmacy instructor, and he said he'd look into whether he could find Naltrexone in a stable liquid. If he can, then he said he could make it up. Does anyone know whether it comes in a liquid? And, are there any others on this site with ALS trying the LDN? (and by the way, the doctor also recommended d-Ribose)

Guest guest
Hi Leo My brother Rory started on 3mg for 30 days last July and then changed to 4.5mg, he had no side effects. He is diagnosed as having ALS. Rory is affected mainly at the moment in his left leg, his right leg is also weak, he has noticed his foot starting to drop, his main difficulty is walking far and steps. Rory was away for 4 days and forgot the LDN and he noticed big changes, his muscles all over his body were very jumpy, he had persistent cramps and he felt weaker, on returning to LDN he was restored to more calm and felt stronger. He would definitely recommend LDN from his own experiences. Guest guest
I asked the gp if he would prescribe Naltrexone if I was an alcoholic, he said, "no, I'd send you to a psychiatrist. Are you lowering the dosage on your own?
