I say get a copy of your blood test and post it with the ranges and units. And we will try and help you. All of my most recent spasms in the chest resolved during this treatment and havn't come back. I had an acute Lyme infection early August and was Treated with Rocephin the month of this Novemebr. I did feel worse after the first week of treatment first. I also developed new symptoms, flying stabbing a nd needeling pains. I am wondering if I can take my abx that way so I can bypass the stomach since my esophagus is really sensitive. Seems I remember some posts about it and we had various diagnosis for it. Lota help that is to ya, huh? My Rheumy told me that it was Carpal Tunnel and recommended wrists braces to keep my wrists straight. I did not like them so now I just sleep with pillows under my arms to keep myself from " curling " up and if I do lay on my side, I have a pillow between my knees AND one to my side to prop my arm on so it stays straight. It's a big ordeal but it works for me. I would wake up and realize one arm or the other was numb. It may have nothing to do with PA, but I haven't had it happen again since starting Remicade. Guest guest Posted September 28, 2006 Report Share Posted September 28, 2006 I experienced numbness and tingling when on Enbrel (due to demyelination - which is rare), but it can happen for a good number of reasons, including swelling of the joints though which nerves pass. From your neck and upper back comes the brachial plexus of nerves that run through your shoulder and branch off in various ways into your arms. Your hands are mostly served by three of these branching nerves: median, ulnar, and radial. These nerves serve different parts of your hands and they also branch off accordingly. If all of your hands are affected, I would be hesitant to believe that it is swelling in your wrists causing it. If only portions of your hands are affected, then I would consider it could be something to do with swelling as related to the area where a nerve passes. If both hands are affected, then I would think it has something to do with your cervical or upper thoracic spine (but, I am NOT a DOCTOR - nor does what I say have any weight). It could be any of a number of things unrelated to PA or your medications - like poor circulation. I have only made the above comments to help others think about how I try to decern what is caused by my PA and what may be unrelated. They are not painful. I found a new lump on the back of my knee today. One more shez. I'm tired..achey.. And have an 8 hour shift on my feet yet to be done. Some days I wish I could just stay home. We sometimes think of the 'go to sleep' reaction as only a circulatory problem. The answer to your question in my experience is that you'll likely need to have your lawyer subpoena those records. I don't think, short of that, that you'll get them from the medical facilities. You must request with a HIPPA compliant letter specifically stating the date range of services, all original and taped notes, all copies of who has seen the records. Sign and notarize it requesting a copy within seventy two hours. Send it with a return receipt and certified mail request. At ninetysix hours repeat the same, and indicate you are seeking a suponea. Include a copy with a letter of complaint to his medical board. At two weeks file a complaint with the board and begin suing him alleging alteration of records. You are entitled to a summary of services if they do not provide the records. If the records are from non-mental health providers (e.g., PCP), than you should be able to request them directly. Guest guest Posted November 3, 2006 Report Share Posted November 3, 2006 I recently had problems with my pinky and ring finger becoming painful, weak and numb - of course I assumed it was PA as I am prone to blame everything on that now. Found out it had nothing to do with PA, it was pinched nerves in my elbow. It happens to those who have jobs sitting at a computer all day or who do not use ergonic apparatuses when on the computer. Talk with a PT or anyone who would be versed in proper sitting and typing posture. It was recommended for me to lift my chair so my elbows don't hit the desk/chair arms anymore. Guest guest Posted January 12, 2007 Report Share Posted January 12, 2007 I had a partial knee replacement Nov 20 and it feels like it pinches me sometimes. my knee still has some swelling and it is still warm(healing) I just figure it is nerves healing and pt has said that it takes a long time to get rid of all the pain. My muscles are getting stronger and the knee don't feel so unstable when I walk, You have a long way to go, be careful, and keep working on making your legs stronger and moving them. Sometimes I feel pin pricks in my scar and shooting pains in the knee. I have found that when I rub my knee with vit E and pain reliever stuff it helps the pain.
