Guest guest
Has anyone on this board done stem cell therapy and had success? > > November 4, 2010; It was announced today that stem cell therapy is now available in the Dominican Republic. Known as the " Stem Cell Project " , Dr. Gene with assistance from Hartsoe have been working on making stem cell therapy affordable for children and adults with various forms of brain injury, especially autism. Different methods have been studied and Adipose Stem Cell Therapy was chosen as the primary method to be used. However, one of the problems with some of the children with CP, and other more serious forms of brain injury is they do not have the extra fat tissue to extract the stem cells. So, in addition, it was announced today that bone marrow stem cell will also be available in the Dominican Republic. The costs of both types of stem cell therapy is reported to be less than $6,000 which is over 70% less than most parts of the world. There is a special group you can join to get more information. You can join StemCellDR for more information. The Dominican Republic may become the Stem Cell capital for brain injury. The " Stem Cell Project " is a major breakthrough. >
Guest guest
Hi , The other moderators left your message in pending while approving others and I do understand why. It's a bit odd that you are sharing a press release about a new stem cell project in the Dominican Republic with so little information. I'm sure your intentions are good, but perhaps in your excitement you forgot to include some of the important details to your press release...who the doctor is, what type of " dr " (MD? PhD? or " Dr. " as sometimes in the DAN " Dr " sense where one can be called a doctor but they are a social worker or therapist? Kind of like a doll or computer " Dr. " ) and how long has he been in practice..in general...Dr. 's bio -the website for the new clinic- you know stuff like that. All you provide is an email to a group (which is not BTW the link to the actual group either)...Also -you don't mention who you are either -I just happen to know due to the archives that you are the director for an HBOT center. In checking Google while I found nothing on what you wrote here other than press releases from you, which I'm not saying that makes it wrong -but just again not clear...I did find the following from another autism site but in the following you were looking to see how stem cell and HBOT can work together for autism?: " We owe a big debt of gratitude to Dr. Gene of the Dominican Republic. We treated Dr. 's daughter, , for autism here at Miracle Mountain and we got wonderful results. Hopefully, Gene or his wife will tell you about their results. Dr. called me the other day from the D.Republic very excited because his beautiful daughter, , was singing away in the background and Gene wanted me to hear her sing because before HBOT, she was non-verbal. An exciting moment. In the recent months Dr. has been working and studying stem cell and consulting with many experts in the field. We have studied the relationship of stem cell and hbot and their importance to each other. " The part about Dr. 's daughter singing in the background is awesome -but when you say that Dr. (who I still don't know who that is) has been " in the recent months " working and studying stem cell'...are you saying he's only just first learning about stem cell recently? I mean I could (wouldn't but could) get eye surgery from a student eye doctor...but... one who has only been studying it for a few months? (eek) I'm not saying what is going on isn't good -but the way you wrote the press release is lacking waaay too many details for me -and probably others here. We have a highly investigative and typically more educated parent in this group, many of them I learned from NV are doctors and research scientists themselves, and please just provide more details so parents can make an educated decision. OK so you didn't provide details -I'm typically good at filling in the blanks myself. I searched for this center and couldn't find it on Google...and putting in Dr. 's name with it I got zero results. I of course also searched for Dr. and still don't know who he is. I again know you are the director of an HBOT center in the US. And just on a last note as you may not read all the messages here -on the thought of something that is affordable for parents of autistic (and other conditions) children...not sure if you know about NV but we are almost across the board seeing dramatic results pretty quick with adding some " chocolate milk " to the diet http://pursuitofresearch.org/pursuit.html it's a whole food product formulated and endorsed by Dr. Deepak Chopra of the Chopra Center for Wellbeing and team http://pursuitofresearch.org/advisors.html -which is 40 to 160 a month. As it's a food and just healthy no matter what it's approved by the child or adult's medical doctors, and comes with a money back guarantee -so the worst thing that would happen to try it would be you got your money back! Which by the way again is rare as it is working for just about all that have tried it. So back to your press release -please fill in some of the blanks. Thanks! And thanks for trying to make these type of things affordable to those that can't afford them. (but BTW....you may want to know in this group most parents think the 40 to 160 a month for NV even though it's working and even with a money back guarantee if it doesn't is " expensive " so not sure how $6000 plus the flight to the Dominican Republic and accommodations for 2 is going to go over here!) =====
Guest guest
Hi , I totally understand your concerns and will try to address them. As you know, stem cell has advanced so much over the past 2 years. Duke and several other universities are now doing stem cell successfully. Unfortunately, the costs are astronomical and, like hbot, are not affordable to the average parent. 10 years ago we started Miracle Mountain for that same reason. Judy and I have never gotten a paycheck. We have a grandson with CP which is what developed my interest in therapies for children. We have since done over 22,000 hbot treatments, many of them free, and many to parents on this group. My press release announcement was short and undetailed because I simply wanted to get the point across and felt parents who are interested could join the group and ask questions. Dr. Gene is a homeopathic MD as well as a missionary. His daughter has severe autism and we met a couple years ago when he brought to MM. That is when our discussions on stem cell began and I disussed the problem of expense and lack of availability. At that time stem cell was $30,000 in Costa Rica. Dr. took on the task of making stem cell available in the Domincan Republic with the intentions of opening a clinic. However, it became apparent that it was a major task. We discussed forming a cooperative and using resources already available. Since then Dr. has done 2 years of research and arranged with already established MD's and professionals to make stem cell, the atipose type using fatty tissue from the patient, available without the expense of building a clinic, etc. Dr. does not do the procedure but has watched and studied the procedures extensively so that he could be certain he was selecting the right medical people and locations to do it safely and successfully. The prices of $4800 for the adipose stem cell even includes the hotel at a resort in the Dominican Republic. Dr. is a parent and is dedicated to finding ways to improve his 18 year old daughter and other children with similar problems. He has 8 children and a wonderful wife, , who is from Minnisota. Professionals will be doing the procedure, and they are trained and knowledgable in what they do. We started the " Stem Cell Project " to make stem cell available to as many as possible. Judy and I have retired from Miracle Mountain. We no longer do hbot but we have seen amazing results. All indications are that stem cell provides much hope for children with all types of medical problems. I am diabetic and Judy has problems and we are both going to the DR for stem cell. Most results so far are anectdotal when it comes to autism, but we also know that most children are showing some improvement. And we know that it is the safest of all the stem cell therapies using only stem cells from the patient. I hope this clears up some of the cloudiness. To be honest, a parent should investigate it thoroughly and make their own decisions before doing any type of procedure. My apologies for not being more clear and thank you for doing the wonderful work you are doing. If you have any more questions, email me directly because I get hundreds of emails and often miss the ones in digest form from the groups.
