Guest guest
Mike: I had Aetna Health Care PPo and they paid Dr. R At 90% and the anesthesia and Hospital At 80%. It didn't make sence to me but said they were out of network. This was nearly 22 months ago but they paid Dr. Rutledge promptly but the hospital did not file forever and when they finally did Aetna did not pay well. Since it was at that timeframe I felt they were trying to prove a point. Wishing you luck. Phyllis
Guest guest
Any one have troubles with Aetna paying for speech therapy? I am trying for 6months for them to cover it trying a new medical code this time to see if that will work. I have talked to the therapist and doctor to use code 781.3, but they said that it is not verbal apraxia code. I am trying to tell them I know that but, I need a code that will get the insurance to cover something. RRRRR... so frustrating, I feel like they dont understand and I will never get this done. Guest guest
I have Aetna...but I can't recall the codes. I think it's 784.69 & there is another one that starts with a 3...(sorry). It took a letter of medical necessity from his nuerodevelopmental pediatrician to get them to approve AND constant calling & following up and yelling and threatening to sue them for them to finally say " yes " ...for 60 visits annually. Guest guest
they told me that it really depends on what kind of plan your employer has chosen but the private therapist should know what codes to use, at least mine did. I only have to pay the co-pay of $30 and I think they only cover so many number of visits per year.
