Guest guest
Hi all, A short question today. I know there is some sort of lung problem that can occur with methotrexate. it is suppose to be quite rare, but when I started with metho I had a baseline chest x-ray and pulmonary function test done so we'd have a baseline. I am now having some quite uncomfortable lung problems. What are these problems like with metho? has anyone had this happen? I am a smoker too and haven't hardly smoked the last few days as it hurts too bad. So I need to know what the problem is like.

Guest guest
Hi Hermann, I am new to the type O list, and I read the article you posted on soy with great interest. I have used soy products for years, and I, too, have experienced side effects, but believed in the benefits out-weighing the potential health risks. Recently I realized I had to quit taking the soy protein powder, as I am on hormone replacement, and I was getting many bizarre symptoms, thinking I was on too much hormone. I stopped using the protein, and within a couple weeks, the symptoms subsided. I have had a lot of the " brain fog " and lethargy, and I am hoping that those symptoms will all go away, too. (Never related this to soy!) I just stopped taking the protein about six weeks ago. I've still been using the soy milk, but I will stop that too. I was wondering what the source of the article is. Also, I was wondering if you or anyone else would have any suggestions what to use as a milk substitute. I'm wondering about almond or rice milk. It's only been about a week that I've been on the O plan, and I'm doing well. Has anyone experienced detoxifying symptoms? Thanks,
Guest guest
Hi ! I found this article in nexus magazine , which I reed all the time . Nexus magazine is not a health magazine , but a conspiracy magazine. I like it because they look at all kinds of topics . You can go to their website and read more interesting articles. The address is Nexusmagazine.com .. my experience with soy started , when I talked my self in to being a vegetarian . I started to use more and more Soy products , and gained weight . my energy level dropped , and my sex drive slowed down . I tried all kinds of energy supplements, But then I could not sleep well at night. When I read the article , everything started to make sense . I stopped using most of the soy, and I am Eating meat again , and feeling better . I read Ann Louise Gittleman’s book , your body knows best , which is all about blood types . Last week I got the two books from peter d’ adamo from the library , and do a lot of reading. I use rice milk here and there , but I am gaining weight from it . My favorite drink is water, and I drink lot’s of it. Have a nice day . tschuess Hermann -----Original Message----- From: pbgmmg@... Guest guest
I use rice dream (milk) and its great. Made from 100% pure rice with no additives. Its a little thinner than soy milk but I think the benefits outweigh the cost. in nz. Guest guest
, Rice milk I am not so fussed on but I have realised I am a bit hypoglycemic so for me it is not good. Almond milk is great although I don't know about how often. I get the feeling not to have it every day. As for my problems with soy I have sent an earlier email but I do have problems with soy. DOES EVERYONE REALISE THAT A LOT OF SOY MILKS AND PRODUCTS HAVE MALTODEXTRIN IN THEM WHICH IS WHEAT SUGAR. I was reacting to a particular type of soy milk when I started drinking it years ago and couldn't work out why until I rang the manuf. to find what it has in it. Guest guest
We can't get it fresh here. We have a country full of dairy cows !! plenty of fresh milk, but our rice milk is imported mostly from the USA. I have also been looking for alternatives to Rice Milk, just for a change if nothing else but there doesn't seem to be any. Only almond but I'm not sure if that's any good for our diet. The almond milk packet has a few additives listed (chemicals) and the rice mild is pure, that's why I've been sticking with it. . Re: Digest Number 285 I find that the fresh rice milk is quite good. Guest guest
you can make your own almond milk. 1/3cup of almonds the receipe says blanched but I use the ones with skins on, 2/3cups water. The rest of the receipe has 5 pitted dates, honey or any thing else you want to put in it. It is called NUT-MILK SHAKE from the Raw Energy Receipes that I tried to follow years ago. I wonder if you could make your own Rice Milk by either cooking the rice and then blending with water and straining or blending/grinding the uncooked rice and then cooking. Guest guest
Dear Lora: In the pen, (at least the 2 week kind), there is enough for approximately 1/3-1/2 extra dose. If you get a script from your doctor, or sometimes the pharmacy will just give one to you, you can obtain a normal, sealed, multiple doseage vial. You can add the extra to that, and you should have enough. Marty
Guest guest
OKay, here I go again. Seems like I can't focus on anything these days. I do have the two week pen. So what you are saying is that I should get an empty vial and somehow put the excess from all the pens in it till I get a full dose??? Then wouldn't I need a syringe? Since the pen does not use a syringe, then what???? Marty, and all, thanks for not making me feel STOOPID!! Although, I probably wouldn't care if you did, cause I feel VERY STOOPID! LOL! Guest guest
What I do is save the pens with the leftover interferon, and then when I've two pens with the small amount left, I give myself 2 shots at the same time. Not ideal, getting stuck twice, but easier than using a vial. Guest guest
Well.. I dial the dose.. seems to work even when it's at the end.. maybe I'm doing it wrong? The good effects of the interferon are wearing off now it seems. I'm returning to the aches and pains of pre-treatment and I hate that. I'm gonna ask doc if I can do daily shots if that would help, or she needs to give me something for pain so I can make the work day. We'll see. alley/ ICQ 12631861 alleypat@... http://www.flash.net/~alleypat

Guest guest
In regards to the kids that look totally normal, for a different age group. I have a daughter that will be 3 in Sept. She is still essenstially non verbal (3 words) with apraxia, hypotonia, DSI, and asthma. She is very beautiful but also very small (20 lbs). We are constantly getting remarks about how pretty she is, then they ask how old she is. When I reply almost 3 they look like they are about to faint. I ask them how old she looks to them and they say like 1 1/2 yrs or so. At least this has helped so far in that not many people comment too much on her not talking or replying to them because they just don't think she is old enough to respond. Too bad they can't see her on her computer matching colors, shapes, etc. She makes up on the computer and working the mouse for what she can't do on the playground or in speech.
