Guest guest
If you are concerned about glycemic control and still insist upon using Nutrasweet do not use Equal in packets but rather Equal in tablets. Sweet and Low, Equal, The Sweet One, Sugar Twin and similar powdered products usually constrain about 96 percent glucose and about 4 percent artificial sweetener. They are sold as low-calories sweeteners because they only contain 1 gram of glucose as compared to 3 grams of sucrose in a similar paper packet labeled "sugar." Note that the brand name can denote two different products: Equal in powder containing 96 percent glucose and a tablet containing no glucose. Guest guest
Good to know, but my understanding with Equal is that the "filler" is not glucose but two other types of sugars, dextrose and fructose I believe. It's equal to about 1/2 gram of carbs per packet. Nice to know the tablets don't have this unnecessary filler, I will switch for sure. Thanks for the info. Thanks, Todd R.
