I have been taking guar gum to lower cholesterol and

to slow gastric emptying

to smooth glycemic response to meals. According to

Sears one should take 5

grams a half hour before a meal. According to Walford

one must integrate the

10 grams of guar into the meal or no more than a

couple of minutes prior to

eating to enjoy its benefits which include an

increasing feeling of

satiation. What is the appropriate recommendation?

Don

Why don't you experiment to see which one makes you

feel satiated. I would be curious to know if it works. I have searched

around for guar gum and couldn't find it; where did you get it?
