Guest guest
Blaylock Tip of the Week The obvious health problems caused by infections are just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. A growing body of medical and scientific evidence is showing that so-called hidden or silent infections are strongly connected to many if not most of the chronic diseases that plague and eventually kill most Americans. The list includes diabetes, stroke, heart attack, heart failure, neurodegenerative and autoimmune diseases, cancer and various organ failures. And more and more microorganisms are being associated with these disorders as our detection methods improve. We can acquire silent infections in a variety of ways, some natural and some artificial. For example, certain viruses - referred to as " latent " or " persistent " - can hide in the body for an entire lifetime. This usually occurs when a person's immune system functions poorly, allowing the virus to escape detection. The chickenpox virus is one such example. It tends to hide in the spinal ganglion (nerve bundles exiting the spinal cord) after a youngster has been exposed to chickenpox in his or her natural environment or through vaccination. Sometimes years later, the virus can be reactivated, resulting in the painful conditions herpes zoster or shingles. There are dozens of bacteria that can cause this to happen. For each of these diseases, a virus, mycoplasma or bacteria has been isolated as a possible cause. For example, a recent study found that 98% of the people tested carry the HSV-1 virus in their bodies. It is the herpes virus, associated with recurrent fever blisters and herpetic sores on the inside of the mouth. But there is plenty of strong evidence connecting Alzheimer's to the HSV-1 virus. As people age, many develop silent herpes viral infections of the brain. Toxic metals also cause viruses in their presence to reproduce rapidly. Cadmium, a contaminant found in many foods and in plastic wraps, accumulates in nerves around the spinal column - the same area in which the herpes virus often hides. The presence of cadmium increases the likelihood of active herpes infections. Mercury is particularly toxic and has also been shown to dramatically increase the production of viruses in the brain. The Real Cause of Atherosclerosis and Cancer? I'm sure most readers would never think that a stroke or a heart attack is an infectious disease, yet experts in the field are increasingly thinking they are. Research shows that many test animals injected with an infectious organism will develop atherosclerosis. And by simultaneously increasing their cholesterol levels, even more will develop atherosclerosis. Similarly, many viruses have been detected in human cancers and some have even been proven to cause them. The connection between the Epstein-Barr virus and Burkett's lymphoma is the most thoroughly researched. And now Epstein-Barr has been linked to nasopharyngeal cancers and Hodgkin's lymphoma. Protection From Hidden Infections So what can we do to prevent all this? Actually, there is a lot. A number of nutrients have been shown to interfere with viral reproduction and infection. Likewise, most of the damage done by infections of the brain is secondary to excitotoxicity and free radical damage - and both of these conditions are treatable with nutritional supplements and dietary changes. If you want to boost your immunity and offset your nutritional deficiencies to fight these stealth infections, please go here for my special report, “Sleeper Germs: Hidden Infections and Their Link to Disease.” Love, Gabby. :0) http://stemcellfora utism.blogspot. com/ " I know of nobody who is purely Autistic or purely neurotypical.
