Hi Iveta,

My son was initially assessed through our local Regional Center. He was

diagnosed with an Expressive Language Delay. He started getting occupation and

speech therapy when he was 2. This I suspected apraxia. I asked them about it

and they told me they were not qualified to make a diagnosis.

We FINALLY got an official diagnosis from a developmental pediatrician. Upon

telling the OT and ST that he had received an official diagnosis, they said that

they had known it all along. Very frustrating. I would adivse all mom's to go

straight to a dev. pediatrician.

Good luck.

Tracey
