Guest guest Posted September 6, 2001 Report Share Posted September 6, 2001 Don: now that I have tried the guar gum, IMHO, the best time to take it would be 30 -45 minutes BEFORE a meal. It seemed to take about that amount of time for it to work. Also it takes 15 or more minutes after eating for the full, satiated feeling to kick in (which is why diet gurus are always suggesting to eat slowly and linger over your food). I noticed that tonight: it took quite a while after eating (about 1/2 hour to 40 minutes) to have that satiated feeling, which I am attributing to the guar gum ingested during dinner.
