Guest guest
wrote Hello Everyone, I'm a new listmember and just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm 38 and have been a desciple of Dr. Walford (i.e. practicing cron) for about six months. I currently weigh 220 which I consider to be my set-point. It is my intent to go down to 190 and see what my blood lipid profile looks like before determining if I should continue losing. At my heaviest, in 1998, I weighed 260 but took most of that off through exercise and a less nutritionally sound diet than I currently practice (not that it was bad but I wasn't using DWIDP to aid my food choices). I'm looking forward to reading everyones words of wisdom. I need a kick in the butt since I've been stuck at this weight for several weeks now. Welcome to the group ! If you're at your set point, it may take quite a while to get under it (which often happens). It took me about three months to get below set point. So you may not need that kick in the butt. It may just be that you're at a natural plateau. Even if you don't lose a lot overall, just sticking to the diet gives you tremendous health benefits. In fact I often wonder if the extreme " skinnies " in the groups are harming themselves (osteoporosis for example). Let us know if this helps and keep us posted on how you're doing. --
