That is very generous of you. I enjoy your posts and your enthusiasm. I would love to hear of your blood sugars excursions after some of your higher crab concoctions, Don

Hi ,

I hit 180 yesterday (very very bad)...and this is a warning for those of us on low GI diets. Last night, I was eating out and ordered oysters...I did not realize from the menu description that they were wrapped in filo dough. Being with clients, I ate them anyway...there were only 3. When I got home, I checked my glucose level and it was a horrific 180! (normally it never goes above about 110). The lesson is that once your body adapts to not making insulin your blood levels can get dangerously high when you change eating patterns.

So...don't splurt unless you can exercise within one hour!
