Hi All,

Even though DWIDP currently only displays gross PUFAs (Poly UnSaturated Fatty

Acids), it is still possible to use DWIDP

to optimize your Omega 3 to Omega 6 ratio.

To do this:

1) Make a new foodlist with 1 tablespoon of Flax seeds and 2 grams of Salmon

fish oil (equiv to 2 fish oil tablets).

2) Add this into your daily intake.

3) Play with your Omega 6 rich foods until you get total PUFAs to ~ 10 g.

As the Flax and Salmon oil have known amounts of Omega 3s & Omega 6s, I inputted

this into KIM and found that with a

total PUFA of ~ 10 g, the tissue uptake ratio was around 47 % Omega 6 long & 53

% Omega 3 long, which is a good result.
