IEP Testing

Good Afternoon,

Charlie is going through IEP from babies cant wait to the School

system.

I definetely need some help on this one. Looks like the school system

who gave Charlie the Kaufman Praxis Test and said that he does not

qualifiy based on that test should not be considered because

Charlie's ST gave him the same test on July 16th. So the same test

has been given within 60 days. The school system went to evaulate him

today in his mainstream school, and again, said he did very well. The

school system even sent another therapist for a second set of years

to Charlie's school again today, this time 1x1. Not sure of the test

she gave him.

Charlie's ST pointed out that the test has been given by her and the

school system within 3 weeks of eachother. I asked the School System

to give him the Self Preschool test for 3-6 year olds per the request

of my ST. That perhaps we can point out his deficiencies on that

test. The school system is coming out to test him on the Self

Preschool test tomorrow am.

So, my question is, Should I wait and have the Self Preschool test

after he turns 3 on Sunday and cancel the IEP meeting unitl next

week, immediately after he turns 3? That way he is graded on a

different age scale?

Thanks,

Colleen
