Guest guest
, Don't let the district personnel label your child yet. Your son is much too young to be labeled as Cognitively impaired. My son is 14 and was labeled at 5 as Mentally Retarded. I thought these people were the experts, and I believed they would see the truth eventually. But here I am to say the School district staff are Mentally Retarded. My son passed the 8th grade constitution test 2 weeks ago and has shocked everyone in my district. They wanted to place him in a class where he would not get the opportunity to take the test, let alone pass the test. If I had let them place him, he would only be able to get a certificate of completion. Now he can earn a 8th grade diploma. Our next goal is High school goals with the support he needs to be successful. Guest guest
, Being " consistently inconsistent " is a hallmark of apraxia/dyspraxia. Our kids are extremely intelligent and I agree. Careful of letting them label him too soon. Janice [sPAM][ ] Re: To , Response to posts about MR and lame comment from our O.T. , Don't let the district personnel label your child yet.
