Yes, that term got to me too Carolyn - it's also a dump all " label "

Ditto that... my kid is also a lead kid with a close second being

mercury. More importantly, his detox system is not fuctioning

properly - and I blame the ludicrous birth to 6 mo vaccines - so

inappropriately topped with Dr. Recommended Tylenol and locked in

by ...drum roll.... antibiotics (locks in mercury) to combat the

chronic ear infections. Heavy metal toxicity cause a chain reaction.

Our kids - most - have " various issues " - which from my reading,

research, constant study - ROOT: heavy metal toxicity causes system

wide malfunction - thus " various issues " as applied to various

genetic makeup.

*and btw - I recently learned about the lead problem - not because he

was not previously tested - because it's very tricky to get an

accurate picture on exactly which /what heavy metal is causing what

problem. Standard Ped testing is often unreliable. They're all BAD -

get them OUT and voila - the problems one by one disappear. Overyly

simplified - I know.

And, fyi, the lead did not come from toys

Re: Lead...Maybe I am ill-prepared here because neither kid of mine

mouthed stuff but my big thought on lead, and perhaps this in a NJ

thing, is the air we breathe, the soil the food grows in when we eat

even the good stuff, with milk it matters as the cows are eating that

grass and the stuff that gets in the groundwater. I have beaten

myself up for giving my kids bottled water with 27x the amount

of " safe " fluoride in it for adults...UNTIL...I looked at the local

water report. The stuff my kids bathed in was full of lead,

pesticides, mercury, industrial waste, etc. And truth be told we have

pretty good water...unfluoridated mind you as they don't want to risk

trapping the nasties.

Truth is there is no one source for the stuff that ails our kids,

even if it is metal. Best we can do is try to find potential

culprits, reduce exposure and if needed, go in and get it out and

heal the physical damage that results from all of it. Not sure where

our journey will lead. Things are pretty happy here but I never know

when the other shoe will drop so I have to keep inquiring and

researching. Don't look back and weep Janice. Look forward to the

future with a much healthier child. You deserve that as does he and

that is my prayer for you both.

We have identical ROOT issues. It is amazing the damage all of this has done!

The more I learn about how severely my son's systems were compromised, the more

I scratch my head in wonder at how aweful and poor medical awareness of these

issues is! Chelation is working but how do you make up for so many years of

toxicity?

The issue with recommending Tylenol after the shots.... " How dare they do this

to us? " That is my mantra. " How could they tell us to give Tylenol to our

babies when it is an immune suppressent? " It is absolutely poor judgement on

behalf of the medical community and we suffer the results.

We did 3 separate tests prior to realizing that lead was the primary issue.

Mercury kept scoring high but....in my heart, I knew it was lead from watching

Dr. Usmans' lectures with regards to dyspraxia. She was describing my child!

He was a Lead kid to a tee. We had to fully eliminate seafood from the diet for

a week (now we have quit it forever). Once we did that, the mercury levels

quieted down (still high though) and the lead levels jumped through the roof.

I believe that the first assault was the mercury from the shots and it just

created an opening for the lead to invade my son's system. This makes me

quietly reflect on every single chew toy..... every baby blanket, every plate,

every item he had...... it was all made in China.

I am 'supposing' here and I simply will never know how my son incurred such high

lead levels in his system. But if you look up the symptoms of global dyspraxia

in relation to the symptoms of Lead poisening, they are remarkeably similiar.

Too remarkable in my opinion!

We finish round for of oral DMSA chelation today. I watch the lead coming out

of his body right in front of my eyes..... it is both astonishing and yet

horrifying at the same time.

I guess I wanted to gently ask that you would stop referring to things as

always being

" a NJ thing " because you're in ONE part of NJ and I am also in NJ, and

don't have the same issues as you seem to with the environment.

Of course the Big Pharm companies and all the industrial areas are going to

be MORE concentrated with " blech things " . that's a definite " no-brainer "

LOL, BUTTTT, not all of NJ has this sort of problem, and it depends on the

area.

I know you had mentioned my water supply at one point-- and referred to the

PASSAIC River being a very bad water supply-- and yet, I'm not near the

Passaic River and our water doesn't come anywhere near from that river-- etc.

So- I dunno-- but I just wanted to point out that NO, it's not always a " NJ

thing " because this state has so many different environments that we're

dealing with, and not ALL are going to be that typical thought that people talk

about with NJ and the " bad " crap.

Hope that made sense

I very much agree with this statement!

I believe there are MANY causes to Apraxia/Dyspraxia, and to say it's ever

just one thing would be untruth.

There are so many things that will add to the condition, and each of our

children will be exposed to different things, that it's extremely complex.

Then factor in how each of our KIDS is totally different and individual, and

that adds to the complexity of this Apraxia/Dyspraxia mystery.

But I believe wholeheartedly-- that there are always going to be MANY things

that will cause issues like this for our children (and for US for that

matter)

Oh, I don't misunderstand you at all! I TOTALLY hear you, and no matter

what issues our children have, anyone that has metal toxins in their system

will

eventually be very sick--- and that always should be addressed as a health

concern.

I was just saying that for my personal case-- it's a little baffling,

because as of right now, we have never had any metal issues that would have

" caused " my son's Apraxia.

Honestly-- I don't even like to think of what caused anything-- because

sometimes it's almost TOO MUCH knowledge to handle-- and then we sit here as

parents and say " what did I do wrong " ? " etc and I wouldn't want to go through

that self-doubt.

I *DO* want to know about the possible dangers out there and AVOID them at

all costs-- because that just makes common sense to me.

Hope that made ANY amount of sense?? LOL

But not all of Northern NJ actually borders NYC but rather UPSTATE regions

of NYS.

There truly is a difference, let's say, between NYC borders of NJ and Tuxedo

Park, NY Borders of NY where you're up in the Mountains. (Ramapo)

Truly-- I understand what you're saying, but I don't agree with you in that

where *I* am personally in the NORTHERNMOST region of NJ is what you're

referring to everytime you say " It's a NJ thing "

That's the terminology that sort of rubs up against me-- because I feel that

yes, there ARE certain parts of ANY State that may be more toxic than

others, it certainly isn't a STATE thing.

and again-- this is respectfully my opinion and yours can vary! LOL

Not trying to offend but the truth is, I am in the alleged cleanest

part of the state. Not trying to trash Jersey but here is the

landscape:

South Jersey: borders a nuclear power plant and all that goes with it.

North Jersey: borders NY and all the 911 fallout along with whatever

was already going on pollution wise in the Passaic River

Central Jersey: allegedly the cleanest but there is always something.

I am not near the Passaic River.

There are new issues croping up in Central NJ because the edison

folks are getting the fall out of the stuff dumped in Staten Island.

Honestly, environmental stuff is not Jersey isolate nor is it even

big talk where I live. I just notice it more because in addressing my

kids stuff funds are limited and research is free.

Liz,

I agree New Jersey has it's many, many issues, but I must must must

point out that nuclear power is actually the cleanest source of fuel in

this country -- compare it to fossil fuels, coal burning, etc. I do

not want to get into a political debate about this one -- it is way

beyond off topic! -- but I had to chime in because this fallacy is

pretty much conventional wisdom nationwide.
