Shining Mountain Center for Peaceful Childhood Inc., is a not for profit organization committed to providing alternative modalities to assist special needs children, regardless of their economic and social backgrounds. The Center offers a program, 12-18 weeks in length, which consists of weekly, one hour individual or group sessions for parent/guardian and child. The focus of this program is to provide a non-invasive, integrated approach that encourages healing within the child and strengthens the family. Parents who are searching for support and guidance are offered help from pre-conception, pregnancy and through their children's formative years. The Center, in addition to working with children, offers a wide variety of workshops and retreats for parents, teachers and organizations. We are also committed to help existing organizations to integrate some of the modalities we find effective into their own settings.
