Guest guest
Hi : I replied before to your question about agressive behavior. Are you giving the Coromega with food? Are you giving the entire packet at once? Are you seeing any benefit in speech or other areas since you started the Coromega? I don't use Coromega, but I have read before that some kids in the past have had trouble with 1 ProEFA capsule and it was suggested to give a small amount of the capsule at once and work up to the full dose. You might try giving half of the packet with a meal and see if that helps. Or you could stick it out for another week and see if the behavior goes away on it's own. If you choose to stick it out for another week and it doesn't go away, you may want to try a different fish oil. From doing a quick read through on the Coromega site, it only contains Omega 3. You could switch to Nordic Naturals ProEFA, it contains Omega 3, small amount of Omega 6 and Omega 9. Sorry to say that each child is different and it may take some trial and error to find what works best for your child. When I upped my son's Vitamin E to 800iu d-alpha, we got crazy behavior and I gave it two weeks to go away before I reduced it back to 400iu. This isn't the norm for many children taking vitamin E, but my son just couldn't tolerate that dose.
