Thanks Greg,

What do you think of using a tablespoon of cod liver oil?

Regards.

Hi All,

The US working group recommends the following Omega intakes:

Omega 6.......... ~ 6 g

Omega 3.......... ~ 2.5 g

DHA + EPA.... ~ 0.6 g

Manually inserting this data into KIM, with n6s (omega 6) being 2 % of total

cals (2,700 cals), I get a n6s % in tissue

of 48 % and at 1,800 total cals or n6s being 3.18 % of energy cals, I get a

ratio of 45 %.

Sounds good to me.

Hi Jack,

I use ground flax seed to get the Omega 3 (1 tablespoon ~ 12 g = ~ 2.2 g Omega

3) and 2 fish oil capsules (180 mg EPA +

120 mg DHA each capsule) to get the ~ 600 mg of EPA + DHA.

The problem is controlling Omega 6 & AA intake and that is where the KIM

software shines.

Greg
