Back from vacation

We went to OC land for a week and it was very nice. Unfortunately

my mil came along but that was the only real downside to the trip.

Will's oc side kicked in big time. He was opening and closing

doors continuously. That is normally just annoying but with the wet

summer we had this year there were millions of mosquitos around. My

legs are covered and I even used Off. I told he had to stop and

if he didn't he would get a time out. He had to find another way to

put his energy or just use inside doors because every body was

getting bit. Of course my mil went on about how he couldn't help it

and how just because he was opening and closing doors that doesn't

mean he let bugs in. Then she said what an awful mother I am and she

doesn't know how he stands living with me.I kept my mouth shut.

We had a great time at the beach and Will loved the sand and the

water. Dh took him out way too far for my taste and I was scared but

kept my mouth shut. He had a lot of fun on the boardwalk too and just

loves the rides. The faster and the higher they go the more he loves

it. Dh takes him most of the time but on fortunately since is

only 4 Mommy has to take him on to and Mommy is a big chicken. We won

lots of junk too. I won Will a sztuffed dog because the man

guessed my age at 38 and I am 42. I smiled the rest of the night at

that one.

I was wondering if others have kids with SID that are under sensitive

to pain and such? had quite a few bites himself but never itched

or even seemed to know they were there.

Tonight we had a trip to the ER just to let us know vacation is over.

walked into a door frame and cut his head. They used dermabond

to close it so he didn't have to get stitches. Anybody have any

experience with it? I was upset by a comment the nurse made when she

was discharging him. She was telling (dh) what to look for with

head injuries. She said if he acts unusual to bring him back. Then

she said that meant if he started acting like a normal 4 year old

bring him back right away. She laughed but I didn't think it was

fuuny.
