? for any one who's child has an aid in school

I'm having a problem with Mathew. He started crying today because

one of his freinds at school made a comment about his aid. She's

only there for his inclusion classes and he really likes her. I

guess he's starting to feel " different " and someone pointing it out

to him made it worse.

We've tried explaining to him that if he behaves he can stay in class

without her - he can't behave and the teacher always has to send him

out of the room back to his special ed class. His team and I all feel

that inclusion is best for him with support. We don't want him in

the Special Ed class all day.

Did any of you have this problem and how did you handle it?

My heart is just breaking for him.
