Sounds like things are definitely headed in the right direction for this

year. North Carolina huh??? Maybe I'll head down there. I could

use a cooperative teacher. hahaha

Thanks for all your helpful advice Kathy and Liz. I am just getting caught

up on emails from the weekend. I really appreciate it. I got a phone call

from Danny's new teacher and I'm very encouraged. He has had a lot of

success

with aspie kids. In fact, he was teacher of the year once. He is a BED

teacher

so the students have all kinds of behavioral issues. He told me that his

goal

is to see to it that every child he teaches is mainstreamed by 5th grade. He

is uncomfortable with and says it is unforgiveable to send them to middle

school self-contained BED. He has already worked a little bit with Danny and

knows

how he can be. He said that when he had worked with him he had not had much

difficulty. He said he runs a tight ship, very structured, consistent

consequences, and doesn't believe in sending him home. I am very excited for

Danny.

His last teacher was great, but at the end we had a lot of difficulty I

think

because the teacher had had some personal tragedies and had to be out a lot.

All the different teachers were a problem. I am now actually looking forward

to this year.
