I remember he once told me he wished he were a hermit and lived by himself without any people around. He thought he would be very happy that way. I think he's an aspie, btw. Spoken by a man with SIX children. NOW that sounds like my hubby. And my older sister for that matter. I use to swear there was no family history. I have begun to realise there were signs! a..who is fairly quirky herself. Ya know, that sounds like my father. He is definitely not an aspie, but I have noticed the desire to be left alone and realized that at least some of the aspie traits may have some down that branch of the family tree. When I got to the equivalent of Middle and High School in Ireland the choice was either Science or Home Ec and since I was really into baking and sewing I took Home Ec. as I figured I'd atleast have one class I would do well in as I did not share the love of school books that my sister's had. Now I spend a fortune on all kinds of Self Help books! I am not sure I would have had the patience you had to measure the blades of grass! Guest guest
Hi Colleen, I too was diagnosed with cirrhosis at time of AIH diagnosis two years ago. After one year of Pred. and Imuran, all blood tests were normal, and I have continued on 50 mg Imuran after stopping Pred. 11 months ago. Recent untra-sound appears that there has been no further damage to liver. I think if you can get AIH under control with meds and do not use alcohol, drugs, anti-immflamatory medications, and anything else that your dr. says not to use, you can stop the damage from continuing. It is my undersanding that a person can live fine with only part of liver, so you must do all possible to prevent further damage. Good health, and welcome to our group. You will find lots of people here with some excellent advice. Pat > > _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger!
