that was nice of you to say i am doing a great job. there are days i just don't

think so but then i pick myself up and keep going. you are great!!! you have

Dear Betty,

You're right, that was a very smart teacher who thought up the " buddy "

system to help my son adjust to riding the school bus. Later she was his

fifth grade teacher. It was his best year in elementary school (other than

first grade) because she always anticipated problems and did something to

prevent them, rather than waiting until they happened and then trying to

remedy them. She is still just as compassionate -- this summer she is

tutoring the son of a friend of mine to help get him ready for middle

school.

I think you are doing a great job too!
