Guest guest
Kathy you are so funny and so sweet I swear we are on the same wavelength. I was typing my post about " our outing " and I stopped to remind you to look at Mars tonight and I read your post. How funny - you were writing at the same time. Kathy's - your kids were great!! cute, polite, pleasant, everyone had a great time!!!! Who would have thought we could take 3 aspie boys, 6yr old, 12 yr od and a 14 yr old and take them somewhere that they all really enjoyed. (of course - it was a science museum - aka Aspie Heaven - LOL!) Kathy is such a wonderful. Beautiful inside and out. It is not easy to find people like her. She is just as witty and funny in person as she is on the list. I can hardly wait for the next visit. Dawn ( a proud card carrying member of the Mutual Admiration Society - ) Dawn and I got together at the lin Institute in Philadelphia today. I had my three kids with me and she had her two. And a great time was had by ALL!! Given the fact the my middle child - Braden - NEVER has a great time, this is quite an accomplishment. I had done what the psych had emphasized - I had prepared Braden in advance by telling him that he would have to wait, walk, have boring moments, do things at times that others wanted to and he didn't and EAT FOOD HE DIDN'T LIKE...a HUGE problem for Braden that ALWAYS brings out his grumpy side. To my amazement, Braden was a total pleasure today. He even ate the cheeseburger he got, even though he didn't really like it, and didn't get the least bit upset. I can't even explain how big this moment was! I can only hope that he can repeat this again. We all had a great time and Dawn's kids are adorable....and so are you, Dawn!! Kathy p.s. And, uh, Dawn...I hope you get back there for that grossology display..and if you do, please tell me where you found it!!!

No wonder I have more fun with you than my husband. We really did have a great day! I agree that a science museum is a good place to take most aspies, but Braden isn't ordinarily that science oriented so I am still boggling at how consistantly well behaved he was. After all I have said about Braden on this list, and then seeing him act like a perfect gentleman yesterday, you must think I'm crazy and delusional. The truth is, Dawn, my kids don't really have Asperger Syndrome. I just made it up so I could join this list and find friends. I'm actually a member of dozens of lists including Alien Abductees United and Petaholics Anonymous (you might like to join this one.) LOL!!
