Guest guest
> Dear Fania, > Have a wonderful rest, and I hope you come back refreshed. You certainly > deserve some time off! > Love, Jill>> Thank you, Jill, Kathy, and other dear friends who wrote similar lines.... Indeed it was wonderful !! First of all, Arad is a small city in the middle of the Negev desert. so you already can imagine how quiet and still and peaceful it is there........ from my friend's veranda, all you saw was kilometers and kilometers of sandy desert hills, in all shades of brown and yellow, Bedouins passing by with their camels..... If you watch the row of camels as they pass by for a while as I did, your heart starts beating in the rhythm of their walking (I know a horse gallops. what does a camel do ??) - they have all the time in the world as only is possible in the desert.... so without even noticing you start to slow down your heart rate, your thoughts, your breathing....... wonderful relaxation. then of course there was my friend, who is the most amazing reflexologist I have ever seen, better too than any psychologist, or chiropractor I have ever visited...... lol /// seriously well known here professionally. she gave me a series of reflexology treatments that left me completely " untied " - no muscle sprains, no thought strain, I could finally breath and fill my lungs with clean air (Arad is known for its pure air, great for anyone who suffers from allergies, asthma, arthritis, etc) and the more I stayed there the more I felt my thought clearing up, my memory slowly coming back. etc. she also gave me some " Life Essences " , similar to Bach Flowers, only made from crystals (!) after I saw with my own eyes what it has done for her child with the most severe ADHD you can imagine. Now I am going to try it on my children/ If it works you bet you will be the first to know AND to get her address !!! I also spent some times in the mineral springs of the Dead Sea, oh, that is marvelous!!! Anyway, I have recharged a BIT, and hopefully this will carry me on for a while, plus I am too starting to take some of those essences she combined for me....so if any of you still need the nudge like I did in order to finally say : " stop the world, I need a rest " , here is the nudge you need: go, take 2-3 days off, with or without a good friend, allow yourself to bask in nature and refill you physical and emotional resources! I'm so glad you had such a wonderful experience. It sounds like watching the camels walk became a sort of meditation for you. Please so let us know how those life essences work out. Reflexology is a form of foot massage, isn't it? I've never had it, but know a few people who have. In fact, I probably know a person or two who do it, if I think long enough...fringe benefit of my New Thought connections. Kathy

That was 5 yrs ago I think. Maybe it's time for another weekend get-a-way. Your trip sounds lovely. And you sound very refreshed. Good for you. You deserved it. a

It is always a delightful, relaxing, self indulgent time. Kathy

Because we are on a tight budget we go to either my mom's house and pitch a tent in her backyard or go camping at $15/night... However, a night or two away by yourself or with a good friend is SO beneficial and you will notice the difference once you do it. I hope you can at some point. You are important and we often put ourselves last when we should be first. Or at least closer to the front! Take care Johanna
