Guest guest
Thank God, all M's blood tests are ok. he may have a virus but that is all. teh pediatrician thinks this means that the hematomas are a side effect of one of the meds. now we can't know which for sure, but since he was on Risperdal for a year and has not had them, and only about two months on the Clonnirit, this started to happen, so chances are it is the Clonnirit. Pitty because the Clonnirit eliminated 99% of the tics he has and now most of the the tics are back. I am taking him to the psychiatrist this afternoon. both the psychiatrist and the psychologist feel they would like to see him completely without meds for about 2 weeks . I don't know how the school will take it, but since the next week is vacation and we may prolong it (see further down) , we may simply not tell the school. at least at first. if the doc decides to leave him off meds, then we will need to tell. but it is very tempting not to tell the school and see how they relate to certain things he does thinking it is under med control..... I am sadly sure that if I tell them he is not on meds they will see every bit of behaviour as out of control....right now the school is feeling very discouraged because he has not yet come to the point of sitting in classes the whole day... I do believe he is well on his way to make it, but that it is imperative to hang in there with him and give him all the time he needs to reach that point. I think that what happened yesterday with the self-rewarding fish plus what is happening socially positively are two good signs he is on teh right track. heck!! they just need more patience. I mentioned prolonging the vacation : dh suggested (first time in 7 years !!) that we take 4 days off and go away. oh, how much I need to go away !!!! but it has to be during the week *after* shool vacation. at first I did not agree, but in second thought - why not ? between you and me, what is there in school that can't be missed for 4 days?? and I believe our children too are in so much stress ,and we haven't had a vacation in so many years - so I figured: lets do it! I feel like a nauty pupil, skipping school! yippi!!!! Coming Tuesaday we are having M's and his sister's birthday party , and I am awaiting to haer fomr M waht theme the cake is going to be (last year he decorated teh whole cake by himself). I am SO relieved that it is NOT going to be pokemons anymore........ Pals, I would appreciate if you commented on my post on the AS lecture at school, I feel really URGH about howi t went and would like to hear how you see it. Welcome to all newbies! I hope that now that we know nothing horrible is wrong with him (re:hematimas) , I will get back to my usual posting pace..... Love, F -- Re: ( ) Re: Making up stories >> I am not saying that anything took place at all nor is anythingt going to but I would if i were your friend I would talk to my daghter just to see if anything really did happen and im not saying it did at all just to make sure that she is OK.<< I agree completely that this is the most logical, as well as the most compassionate, course of action. >> the other issue with the teacher calling her a liar if i were in your friends sitation I would got to The Principal or the school board if neccasary and report her and have the teacher apologize to her over something like that i can understand just how humiliating that would have been if a teacher said that to me when i was her age<< Agreed again, not only that, but not addressing that situation sets a precedence for her to not speak up in the future if something does happen to her. After all, if no one believed her before, why would they now? Welcome, =) L.
