Guest guest
Atleast you have conversations. lol! Luckily I do not need to ask my dh or my oldest what's for breakfast. They are having cereal w/ milk. I only have problems should I run out of cereal or milk! Now my youngest thinks you should GUESS what he wants! And if you are wrong he will not waste breath speaking. Nope! He throws it! Did I mention I love my swifter? lol. a -- In , sjparvin@a... wrote: > Oh, my gosh....I hope you can relate as I am going nuts. > Here are the conversations in my kitchen. You must be doing something wrong. LOL!!! Totally joking of course. Actually, I'd be thrilled if my kids would eat reheated macaroni and cheese and put milk on their cereal (They all eat it dry). Guest guest
In this house they fight over the cereal. I buy a bunch of different kinds and put them in the pantry. Now of course some are liked more then others. Josh has a bad habit of hiding a kind that he likes somewhere else in the kitchen cabinets so nobody else will eat that kind. But guess what, sharp eyed knows what I bought and what is missing, and of course the missing one is what she wants. So then a sixteen y/o and 5 y/o verbally argue over one box of cereal. Which of course the five y/o ends up in tears because her brother told her she doesn't need it anyway because she is too fat. Grrrrr kids. PS Dawn I managed to get rid of my husband this week giggle, giggle the plant has him working overtime! I get the whole house to myself from 12-3. Hmmmmmmmm now what do I do??????? With Will we went through a period of food aversion as a result of severe reflux (now considered moderate) and a hiatal hernia. He was even enrolled in a feeding clinic to avoid a tube. Fortunately it was successful. Part of what we did was to show him videos to get him to eat and actually pay for completed meals. He was like a very bright baby anorexic. He still uses it to this day. He is allowed sugar cereals to increase his calorie intake. Our conversations go something like this: Mom: what do you want for breakfast. : I don't want to eat. Mom: You have no choice. : What are my choices? Then I list whatever is fastest and he tells me what he wants and an hour later breakfast is over. I sooo look forward to rushing out the door for school (note the sarcasm). , Mom to , reflux, hiatal hernia, compacted bowels, asthma, global hypotonia, motor dyspraxia, SID, Asperger's

Guest guest
Hi Johanna, We had problems like this for awhile because my daughter often forgot to say NOT. She'd be screaming " I want <something> " (meaning she didn't want it) and the more we tried to give it to her the angrier she got. Once we figured out that she made this mistake frequently, it helped us a lot. We make the microwave mac for lunch most days. My daughter likes to pour the noodles from the package into the bowl. Especially when she was in school and we were both stressed this was a major time for meltdowns. If I forgot and poured the noodles in, she went ballistic. Often I cravenly poured them back into the envelope so she could do it rather than face a meltdown. Fortunately, those days seem to be behind us. Guest guest
With Bradley - I have noticed that if he starts the day off with protein (instead of sugar) in the morning it helps him hold it together much better during the day - so fortunately the only question I have to ask him is " scrambled or fried? " lucky lucky meeeeeeee!!! Guest guest
Hi, Protein early in the day works well for us, too.
Guest guest
I have an AS (Arthur, 14) and an ADD (Aidan, 12) and I too have been informed by the school how much better they do with a protein breakfast. Mine are (to keep things regular for me, and to help avoid " Iwantthisitis " at breakfast) Monday: Pancakes with sausage Tuesday: Huevos Rancheros (corn tortillas, eggs, and refried beans) Wednesday: hash browns with ham Thursday: Omlets and toast Friday: Homemade (steel cut oats, delicious if you cook them right) with ham Anne At 11:01 PM 9/2/03 -0400, you wrote: > >With Bradley - I have noticed that if he starts the day off with >protein (instead of sugar) in the morning it helps him hold it >together much better during the day - so fortunately the only >question I have to ask him is " scrambled or fried? Guest guest
Yup gets want and don't want mixed up as well as yes and no. Etc. Plus he echoes the last part of your ? back to you. It can be quite frustrating for us as well as him. I can not wait til this is behind us. Til then I pray for patience on my part. a > Hi Johanna, > > We had problems like this for awhile because my daughter often forgot > to say NOT.
