I would agree-- All through his first baby checkups, Jake's head was smaller

than normal (which didn't fit with the fact he was in the top 95% for height and

75% for weight). Then, I think it was around 2, but could have been a little

later, his head got much larger, even though his height & weight slowed. Now he

is like top 75% for head circumference (maybe bigger) but only top 50% for

height and is actually bottom 25% for weight.

Bradley used to do the " commando crawl " .

He looked like a soldier crawling around on his belly.

He would lay flat on his stomach and push himself forward

with his elbows and knees or feet. But always stayed low

to the grown. Not up on all fours. He started walking when

he was 11 mos old.

Ally was standing up at 7 mos and walking on her own

at 9 mos. (and she was the one I was worried about-haha)

I THOUGHT my kids had big heads. I'm not sure that they did by the

standards someone else posted though. And their heads did look

proportionate to their bodies. I had big babies, esp for someone my

size. Both my boys are PDD. Yet Hunter was a mover. He had no

problems w/ head control, crawling, etc. was the opposite. His

head though proportionate seemed too much for him to hold up. I

really worried about him. He took his time hitting those milestones.

Both have low muscle tone. I guess I think this is interesting, but

my kids never seem to fit any profile like that. One may, but never

both. It always leaves me confused. a

was my " early " walker at 16-1/2 months. Tess, his sister, didn't walk

until she was 19 months. She never fell down or was unsteady. Just one day,

she stood up and walked from one end of the house to the other. LOL

Hunter walked shortly after his first b-day. He was walking for

months prior w/ just a finger or two for support. He was kinda scared

of letting go. walked between 15 and 16 months. And stayed

looking unsteady for another 15 months.
