I wouldn't. I would not get the school address/involved in ANYTHING that I

could get away with......but certainly not if it doesn't happne in school

and/or if it does not bother them or you child.

now for the things you described: my son hops, runs in circles, he used to

grimace, and it seems these are all TICS, that went away wiht the medication

flapping hands is more a stim, and he did that too, but now only rarely.

****that is the mystery....I'm in amazement that he can hold it together for so

long, b/c when he gets home he is stimming several times an hour at least.

***yep, I have friends off-line, but with you guys we share so much /have so

much in common that there is definitely a bond. I just wish we could actually

meet sometime! However, I think we'd have to meet on the East coast....isn't

most of the list there?

It *is* possible to teach them to stim in the privacy of their home. Both my

kids do it. They call it daydreaming, where they prance around the house,

flapping and flopping. But it only happens at home now.

stims CAN be held back for wuite a while, it is jsut that in teh end tehy

need to eb discharged....

well, I am in the middle East. does it count as East ? lol

Maybe that is a good idea, to do a happening where we all meet. if it is

done long enough in advance, maybe people out of town adn out o fhte country

can make it.

sort of like Borg Mom list Conference...... :-)
