Okay, ladies (and gentlemen).... I have an EQ of 41 and an SQ of 51! Yes, I

am a 48 year old mom in Ohio with an Aspie son, but I'm an extreme type S!

It was so funny... when I was taking the SQ I kept thinking, " Wow, they

really know just what I do... these are really great questions. "

Hmmm.... anyone else out there like me?

Me. I took it twice. The first time, both scores were 45's and the second

time, my EQ is 41 and SQ is 44.

Hi, Lindy--

Don't despair -- in 2001, my daughter (then 12), was diagnosed with AIH

Type 1, Stage 4 Liver disease, cirrohsis. Very bad. Near death, according

to the doctors. And I was furious, because I had taken her to the emergency

room a year earlier, and her liver numbers had been nutty then and she'd had

high

fevers and stomach pain, but they sent us away and said she had

" constipation. " This was at Children's Hospital in Philadelphia, supposedly the

number two

pediatric facility in the nation. Well, she did the whole " bombard it with

prednisone, Imuran, etc. " and went into remission in about 8 months. She's

never had a recurrence (knock wood). So, amazing things can happen.

But, since you are a " complicated lady, " I would really advise that you get

yourself to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, or the Cleveland Clinic, or some

other place where the specialists confer with each other. It's invaluable. I

took to Mayo, and it was worth paying for the journey. Amazingly, our

insurance covered the treatment. I can't say enough about how wonderful they are

there. I'm writing a book about our experiences.

Thanks for listening, and good luck.

Lindy,

Do not despair. Do contact the MAyo clinic, and/or Cleveland Clinic and discuss

with social worker your sittuation. There are wonderful programs to help people

out when they need it!

My sister was to get a lung tranplant and we were supposed to stay in Seattle

for 3 months. Well lo and behold they had accomodations for patient recovery

for the duration or recoup. FOR FREE. They also had cheap hotel rooms in a

hotel not too far, and I am not sure what else, had we needed it.

Unfortunately, she died before they could get her a lung. She had a very

rapid weird disease, not cancer!

Hi Everyone

Thanks for the suggestion to go to Mayo. Its a little difficult as I live on an

island south of the mainland of Australia. About 400 thousand people all up. I

will have to go with what we have here
