I totally agreed with you. I am tired of people giving " advised " or come to

you with " let me see if can help you control your kid " attitude when they

don't even know what's going on or why. They just make things worst for

everybody.

( ) people never cease to amaze me

Friday Matt forgot his lunch. He has eaten the same thing for 3

years now and we have found this to be the beginning of a disaster.

In all the excitement of getting his costume and stuff for a school

party he left it on the table. I ran out but the bus had already

left. I called teh school to warn his teacher so that she could

prepare him. He refuses to let her buy him a school lunch. She let

him know way before lunch and tehy found some things from the snack

cupboard. He was upset but OK. He went to lunch and one of the

parent volunteers informed him he had to eat a lunch and it was

unhealthy to just eat snacks (pudding, crackers & juice)Well needless

to say that started it. I guess the woman even reprimanded his

teacher for letting him eat it!!!!!! His teacher called me to see if

I could calm him down. I talked to him for a little bit and he kept

refusing to eat. He didn't want his teacher to get in trouble. I

felt so bad for him and was ready to go have words with the

volunteer. I wish " well meaning " people would just leave him alone.

since I am in a sarcastic mod after my talk with the psychologist, may I

suggest he is just picky because he has an educational problem. probably you

allowed him to train you to be afraid of giving him something else to eat,

no to mention whomever gave him unhealthy snacks for today.

ARGHHHHHHHHHH............

how right you are! the way to hell is paved with good intentions...., right

?

and I LVOE how everyone ELSE knows exactly and better than us what our

children need.....

dinner time has always been a real problem with us. He has a very healthy diet

even if it is very limited. I decided a long time ago with all the other

problems we have an eating disorder was not one I wanted to add. Lunch is juice

a salami sandwich, pudding, crackers and carrots or mushrooms. I consider that

pretty good. He can control his menu so he does other wise the evening spins

completely out of control. The good part is his doctors all agree with me!!!!

Too bad the rest of the world doesn't.

Its the " Have you ever tried...... " or " Why don't you.... " or the "

You just need to be more..... " crap that gets me. Like we haven't

been there and done that. I don't know about ya'll but I have about

tried everything and these people who have 1 normal child thats only

1 years of age and they are trying to give me suggestions.... (AKA:

my neighbor!!!!) Yeah right!! I think I have a little more

experience seeing as how I have a 12 Year old , 10 year old , and 6

year old!!!! She has one child and thinks she knows it all! I can't

wait until the day she admits it is not as easy as she thought!! And

believe me .... she will.... he's a little toot!!!!!!

Okay.... I feel better now!! LOL

the worst part with me (ar least this time) is that Matt is in an Autism support

class room.

His teacher is great but the rest of the school leaves alot to be desired

sometimes. I wonder why these people think he is in a special class? It's like

they have no clue!!!!!!

What an idi**! That sounds like a well balanced meal to me.

I used to dutifully send a sandwich and chips and fruit by the foot or mixed

nuts every day back in elementary school, lest the powers that be get upset.

But never ever ate one bite of these lunches. NEVER! He's on

Adderall, and he just isn't hungry! So now I've given up. I don't make

lunches any more. Last year, I sent in Japanese crackers for a while, then

he got sick of them. Now I don't send in anything. I just give him a big

snack when he gets home. And now. Off you go. Time to call CPS!
