Guest guest
Well, I got an email from the principal in response to my request for the incident with Braden be put in writing. Here is what she wrote: " I would be glad to meet w/you Tuesday or Wednesday after school to discuss this incident. I'm out of the building on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons but I will be there up until about 1:30PM. Mrs. Parrillo has my schedule if you would like to call and arrange something. Thank you for the articles. " HHHmmmmmm...could it be that she doesn't want to put the " incident " in writing??? I immediately bounced this in response: " I would like, as I have already stated in my email, to have your accounts ofthe incident in writing. After I have received your accounts in writing, and have had an opportunity to review them, then we can discuss it. " Ball back in her court. Am I making a reasonable request that they should honor? Do they have the right to refuse to put the incident in writing? What is my recourse, short of asking for a written explanation as to why they won't, if it comes to that? Should I go over her head? To the asst. superintendant or the special ed director?? You know, I find it very ironic that they should balk at my request for them to write something, given the hard time they have understanding and sympathizing with Braden under the exact same circumstances!!
