Too soon to tell, but I have an uneasy feeling. Feels like my cognition is regressing a little. Will report in when I think I know. Guest guest
i wonder if switching types of b-12 requires a withdrawal (of one type of b-12) and a new process getting used to the other, the new type of b-12. my doc says they work a little differently... rebecca >I just started on the methyl a few days ago, due to the shrtage of hydroxy. >Too soon to tell, but I have an uneasy feeling. Guest guest
Hi! I took regular B12 tablets and didn't notice much of a difference. I took one bottle of methylcobalamin tablets and it eliminated all B12 deficiency symptoms. (Can't even remember what they were). This was approximately 6 months ago and the symptoms have not returned, neither has the need to take B12 or additional methylcobalamin. Cost was about $35.00. The theory is that methylcobalamin is an enzyme with a short half life and it is important to keep it in your system. Sorry for the delay in answering, I just got back into town tonite. Guest guest
What dose was recommended for your child? I always thought the 1000mcg in the sublingual tablets I have was a big dose, but after reading the B-12 articles that were posted, I'm not sure if I'm giving enough. For my #2, he would tolerate up to 1500 mcg per day. For my #3, he would only tolerate up to 200 mcg per day, anything more than that and he would be VERY emotional, crying all the time, and even banging his head.
