This is what I would do, keep going with the AFP

MAndi in UK

Rhonda,

The proteases will likely help break down the virus or bacteria that is

causing the pneumonia. I think it is a good thing to keep taking.

when I was in practice (chiro.), I would have patients take proteolytic

enzymes along with pycnogenol every two hours for bad illnesses and also when

they

would be recovering from surgeries, etc. Remember, the enzymes with food will

work on food. Enzymes between meals will help other issues in the body.

I hope she feels better soon.

>>> Livia has pneumonia and I'm wondering if, since she's eating so

little, practically nothing in fact, should I just stop the enzymes

for right now? I'm leaving in a minute to pick up her zethromax (I

KNOW that's spelled wrong), and I'm going to up her Culturelle but

I'm nervous about stopping the zymes (AFP/NF) because I'm afraid

it'll be like starting over.

Rhonda,

I would just continue enzymes now. I give extra Peptizyde between

meals when we get colds or ill because of helping with the mucus (if

there) and stenghthening immune system. I suppose they might help

with pathogens too. We don't get as ill as often and a cold is only

half as long as it used to be. I give about 3-4 Peptizyde every 4

hours (you might not want to give extra, but no reason to stop right

now).

From what I have read (correct me if I am wrong)...

taking enzymes on an empty stomach can help

break up mucous in the body--probably a good thing

since she has pneumonia. Maybe you should even try

upping the dose.

I would give her colostrum from Kirkman (hypoallergenic) (I give my

45 pound 5 year old son 2 teaspoons twice a day), electrolytes from

Elyte (856-825-8024)mix 3 capfulls per 1 cup of water.serve 1/2 ounce

3 times a day.

Rhonda,

Look after yourself. It's not easy caring for a kid with spectrum

issues, let alone one with pneumonia. Have a long sleep, if you

can, and indulge in something really wonderful (chocolate? wine? hot

bath?).
