Guest guest
i am sure the allergy a helps heal the gut. gfcf does not help heal the gut, i would look at some scd exclusions like potatoes, corn, soy(NOT diary), rice so that you don't fall inot the gfcf trap again. collagen(from slow cooked roast juice NOT store bought gelatine) and whey powder/paste will also help heal the gut. its hard to understand that gfcf keeps the gut damaged. > I recently posted about my daughter getting chronic > Viatamin A toxicity. Guest guest
--Thanks for the reply. You are right, it is hard to understand that GFCF is not helping the gut. Are ou saying that if the gut has been healed some by the Vitamin A, that would explain her being able to tolerate wheat? Also, she is not wanting to eat much of anything else. That seems like a bad sign?? -- In , " andrew " <alevin@i...> wrote: > > > i am sure the allergy a helps heal the gut. > > gfcf does not help heal the gut, i would look at some scd exclusions > like potatoes, corn, soy(NOT diary), rice so that you don't fall > inot the gfcf trap again. > > collagen(from slow cooked roast juice NOT store bought gelatine) and > whey powder/paste will also help heal the gut. > > its hard to understand that gfcf keeps the gut damaged. > > > > > > > I recently posted about my daughter getting chronic > > Viatamin A toxicity. My son had improvements with social and language after high dose vitamin A protocol and other anti-viral. > asked my wife for Goldfish, which we had in the house for my son. My kids lost their food problems with ALA, but your child might be different and lose food problems with anti-viral. Dana
Guest guest
>>Also, she is not wanting to eat much of anything > else. That seems like a bad sign?? It might be a bad sign, watch for regression. Goldfish crackers do feed yeast. But, it also might be that she is finally happy that she can eat them, and wants to eat a LOT before you take them away again. Good luck. The thing about my daughter is that her urinary peptide test did not show any problems, but her allergy panel showed the allergy to wheat and dairy. Maybe that is why we never saw much change on GFCF.

My kids have no dietary restrictions at all, and they don't need enzymes either. Dana
Guest guest
Dear Tod, We put our son, now 8, on the GFCF diet for 4 years. After reading DeFelice's book about enzymes, which made so much sense to me, I ordered some enzymes from Houston and during Christmas break, we started introducing foods with milk and gluten, etc. We were a bit hestitant about it, but went ahead. We saw no regression whatsoever. We are now waiting on lab results from Great Plains to see if the peptide levels are similar to when he was on the diet (his caseomorphin levels were slightly elevated even while on the diet). I made a pact with my son that he still needed to eat a well balanced, healthy diet, including his vegetables. He is not a picky eater. His last gut permeability test still showed a leaky gut and he never showed any allergies to wheat, gluten, milk, etc. But his peptide levels for caseomorphin were always high, as well as antibodies to milk (Dr. Vojdani's lab). We have him on high levels of vitamins and minerals, the ones described in Dr. McCandless's book and my theory is that maybe after all these years of supplements and diets, his gut has healed somewhat, allowing him to tolerate the normal diet. I will not stop the enyzems until we finish chelation with DMSA as per Andy Cutler's protocoll. I hope that you can also keep your daughter on a healthy diet. We let our son have cookies and chips, etc. but he has a lot of healthy food as well and we avoid MSG and aspartame. Kind regards, Liz > I recently posted about my daughter getting chronic > Viatamin A toxicity. Well, she is recovering, and some strange things > have occured.
