Guest guest
Please remove me from the enzyme mailing list. info@... Thanks food allergies increasing Hi everyone, I ordered Houston enzymes and am reading 's book while I wait. My daughter and I (28 month old, nursing) are on a limited rotation diet but she is still getting allergic rashes on bottom--I feel like soon we're going to die of starvation. Will the enzymes help? Anyone been down this road and have a ray of hope to offer me? I don't want to add tons of things back in, I just want enough to eat. GFCF or SCF sounds like a banquet in paradise to me. All Lucy's play revolves around food. She sits at her table with an empty plate and says " yes, please " over and over when it's really bad. Thanks,
Guest guest
, Lots of people have been in your shoes-my own daughter's diet grew very limited, but not to the great extent you describe. Enzymes do help many, many children with this exact problem. Does your daughter have problems with yeast overgrowth? The rashes could be caused by yeast. We tried the gfcf diet because I saw it as a non invasive no fail sort of thing-very wrong in our case. My daughter did not make any great strides with it and I would have simply dropped it if I could, but once you eliminate the foods its impossible to reintroduce them without a negative reaction most of the time. My daughter did not get rashes, but she would have severe behavioral reactions along with loose stools, sleep disturbances, etc. As you describe, my daughter became intollerent of more and more foods (intollerent-not allergic-has your daughter been tested for actual food allergies?) We started the enzymes and dumped the diet over 2 years ago and my daughter (10) is doing great. There were still a few foods that would bother her with enzymes, but we have even added back most of those now. She also eats a much more diverse diet and has gained to a healthy weight. I hope these enzymes are the answer for your daughter. Best of luck-let us know how it goes! --- In , " bollinglane " <wjack@e...> wrote: > Hi everyone, > I ordered Houston enzymes and am reading 's book while > I wait. Guest guest
, Thanks for your reply. On her CDSA she showed no yeast or pathogen or neg. bacteria overgrowth, just lower than normal benef. bacteria, small ph prob., and a couple other things. Doc was suprised results were as good as they were because she is so allergic. Her stools are solid with lots of undigested food. The rash comes and goes. She eats or drinks something she's allergic to and gets redness from contact of urine or stool and it fades quickly. (Was much worse before we figured out what foods were triggers). I haven't done allergy testing because I read it's not altogether conclusive and she's now eating so few foods not sure worth expense (elisa act) although I haven't ruled it out altogether. Am looking forward to arrival of enzymes. > > Hi everyone, > > I ordered Houston enzymes and am reading 's book while > > I wait. Guest guest
Yes, I remember those days of panic! We went through what you are experiencing. I was doing a rotation diet and quickly running out of things to rotate. I remember driving across town in a frantic search to buy mung bean starch, for heaven's sake! Enzymes helped my son tolerate almost all of the dozens of foods I had removed. I still try to avoid a few things such as artificials and peanut butter, but even those are better tolerated now than they were. If you decide to try enzymes, give your child some time to adjust to the enzymes before you add back any foods. When you add back foods, do it with one food at a time in case you need to pin down a reaction. > Hi everyone, > I ordered Houston enzymes and am reading 's book while > I wait.
