Well, I got the mind stim cd today and am listening to it as I type. I don't

know!

You can hear some high pitch cyclical " squeaking " sounds in the background

but the main sound is running water. We're not talking calm, babbling brook

kind of water but rather like someone left the tap on in the tub! My asd son

actually ran to the bathroom to see if I'd started to run his tub too early when

I

first put it on! I'm just kind of laughing right now, my husband probably

thinks

I'm nuts (not the 1st time, won't be the last : ) ). My asd son did actually

appear

to be listening to it though. I have 3 kids I want to try it on and at least my

oldest can actually tell me what he thinks of it, if it's doing anything or not.

I'll

let you know if we see any results or not. LOL

Hi Laurie,

I have the mind stim tape.I know what I am about to ask you sounds wacky but did

you have a craving for any specific type of food after listening to this cd?I

would be curious to know.

There was nothing with my Mind Stim CD that said not to use for kids under

13 and one of the selling points is that it is supposed to work for kids. I

don't

know.

They did also send me a demo CD for something called Holosync and that

one does state not to use for kids under 13. Maybe it's just that one? That is

a

much more expensive CD than the mind stim. I think I'd have to see some

pretty amazing and definitive results with Mind Stim before I'd shell out that

much money!

My youngest is 12.5 yo so I think I'll still try it with all of them. I'll let

you know if

I notice any changes.

Hi

Well I've only listened to it once all the way through so far. I didn't notice

any

particular food cravings but I'll keep an eye on that and let you know. That

would be a hard one for me to judge because I'm always craving foods! With

my son being on a restricted diet for so many years, I don't get to eat all the

things I want anymore! I have hidden stashes of contraband food locked up

around the house that I sneak into after he's asleep!! Pretty bad huh? The

problem is now that I'm getting older I can't handle late night pizza without

waking up with heartburn later. (Maybe I should start taking the enzymes!).

Laurie : )

I kind of got angry about this...

After I ordered, I contacted the company and they said they do not

recommend the CD for anyone under 13...

I bought the CD a month ago and there was nothing that said not to

use it for children. It sounds very much like a loud brook running

with rythmic sqealing in the background. I have been playing the CD

in a regular stereo CD player and not thro the ear phones.

I know the Mind Stim says something about children...that is why it

made me mad when the company said it is not recommended for

children under 13...my guy is almost 5.

I know it does not say it on the package...

I e-mailed them to find out if it would interfere with

any previous listening treatment he had done so far.

This is when I was told that it is not recommended for

children under 13.

I just got my copy of the CD today. I could not even listen to it for 5

minutes! I started getting a headache right away and when I turned it off, the

pain went away. I do get migraines regularly, so maybe it was just me, but I

don't think I will be using it with my son. This just may have convinced me to

take the plunge for The Listening Program CD's.

Like I said before...it does not say it on the CD/tape...

BUT when I contacted the company they said it WAS NOT

recommended for children under 13.
