Guest guest
Hate to see you add yet another bottle to your untolerated shelf , but we are in our second? third? week of using Carbo because son's reaction to ZP was extreme and horrible. Carbo by Enzymedica doesn't have the papain or bromelain, and I believe the Kirkman's do. Anyway, Carbo is working out beautifully here, and is a nice companion to Houston's Pep and NF. HTH, > OK, so it sounds like NF and AFP Peptizyde aren't going to be enough > for my son Wyatt.
Guest guest
I was just reading about Carbo on 's website. It is unsettling how big that " not tolerated " or " not used " or " kid wouldn't take " shelf is becoming! I looked again at the Similase bottle - no p/b, and high in Amylase (which Carbo has, although it doesn't have some of the other ingredients). I am going to try the Similase for a few days - it would be nice to use up the bottle. Can't remember how much that cost me?? Then I will order Carbo. Where did you buy it - it doesn't look like they sell it directly> What kind of results are you seeing from the Carbo? I am getting so frustrated by Wyatt's reactions to everything. I tried mixing a little buckwheat into his almond meal pancakes just for a change of pace (one can only eat so many scrambled eggs or squash " pancakes " for breakfast!) - his poop today was gritty and sticky. It took about 10 diaper wipes to get it off. The poor kid was saying " Ow, Ow " the whole time! And of course now he is starting to react to the almonds, since we have been substituting them for the grains. I never used to be much of a hot cereal person, but I actually find myself dreaming of a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast! You know, with raisins, cream and brown sugar? I am going to have to sneak off to a restaurant for a bowl one of these mornings and leave the kids with my husband! I have been reading 's book, and it really struck me how she talks about this cycle of having to take out more and more food. That is exactly what is happening to us. Where does it end? I am so hoping these enzymes can help! Miti > > OK, so it sounds like NF and AFP Peptizyde aren't going to be > enough > > for my son Wyatt. Guest guest
Miti, Just fyi....Dr. Devin Houston is getting ready to offer a Zyme Prime without Bromelain in the next month or so, so that will be nice for those of us with sensitivities to it! So I would expect that you can't take > Peptizyde and No-Fenol at the same time because No-Fenol > would " eliminate " the unique Peptizyde formulation (and vice versa). > Why not? I have given those two enzymes at the same time for 2-3 years now, no problems whatsoever. Dana
