Guest guest
kefirs are a biofilm of yeast and bacteria and not that controlled so you end up with yeast metabolic by products and also a problem with echoli bacteria its not just coconuts but kefir grain grown milk kefirs i find coconuts very phenolic i wonder if race has an impact on this like i can down king island cream by the contianer...........by coconuts no way and its not something my european ancestors were bought up on. elaine gottschall is very anti the yeast alcohols etc produced by yeast fermentaion. people seem to get things very wrong and swear by whatever, you want to see the adult mercury chelation baords for bizzareness. Guest guest
On SCD, kefir (the kind made with kefir grains and milk) is an advanced food. Some gut healing is supposed to take place first, and yogurt is supposed to be consumed for a while before trying kefir. I believe that Elaine was concerned that in a state of gut dysbiosis, many of the bacterias and yeasts in the kefir have the potential to mutate or to overgrow. Once the gut has healed to an extent, kefir can be even more healing. But everybody is different, and some people can't tolerate it. The coconut water kefir is not SCD legal at all, because it is made with green coconuts, which I guess must contain some starch. > > > >, I love it, you crack me up!!!! > > > Would you go on about the coconut keffir, I have spoken to a few > > > people who swear this helps heal the intestines, etc. > > > I am not interested in this diet personally, just more curious > > what > > > the buzz was and if there is any benefit to this coconut keffir > > craze. > > > > > > So true about Elaine, she's the real deal! > > > Thanks! > > > Jen > > > > > > > > > > shes also big on coconut keffir. > > > > > this was developed with a group of friends at a beach party > > in > > > > california> > > > > so there you go > > > > >> like some on this board the few hours necessary to > > undertstand > > > scd > > > > seems to be to much and why one would go on to develop a diet > > from > > > > this base of ignorance i cannot guess............. elaine sort > > of > > > > gives the knowledge away which in this day and age of the > > necessity > > > > of large doctors fees and the like being social validation of > > being > > > > effective.............is.......untrendy? > > > > >
