Hi,

My son is now on SCD. Are Candex and Candidase 2 different brands of

the same type of enzyme product to treat yeast? Which one is SCD

compliant? Which one works best? My son is very frozen right now

due to yeast. Thank you. Rose

Yes, they are two different enzyme blends from two different

companies. Both may help with yeast.

Candex by Pure Essence (can get through Brainchilds): contains

cellulase plus several carbohydrate digesting enzymes. Contains small

amount of rice bran so not SCD acceptable but this has not been a

problem for most.

Candidase by Enzymedica (can get www.getbigger.com): contains only

cellulase and proteases which are helpful for breaking yeast cells.

No fillers at all and is 100% SCD acceptable.

Whether one works best or not will depend on the person. Considering

your situation, the Candidase may be a good one to start with because

it is only yeast enzymes and SCD issues aren't a concern. Then if you

are not totally happy try Candex.

You might want to try a yeast killer of any kind with it because the

yeast killers and enzymes seem to have a very synergistic action. We

did not have yeast problems here, so I can't give you personal

experience with this.
