The RDA for sodium is not set for maximum health but the minimum that it

was felt the average American eater could stand to consume. 500 mg is all

you need for good health (what Walford recommends), any more gets you in

trouble with calcium, blood pressure, etc.

I'm glad that I misinterpreted your message: I actually thought you

might be trying to get the RDA for sodium!

Thanks for the info though. I didn't know that the minimum was set for the

tolerance amount.
