Guest guest
Hi All, I'm quite pleased! I've just found dried Shiitake mushrooms here in Norway. The fresh variety are hard to come by and very expensive. According to DWIDP 4 dried Shiitake mushrooms equal 44 calories and weigh 15 grams. I am wondering if anyone else uses dried Shiitake mushrooms and can confirm that the DWIDP numbers are correct. The bag of dried Shiitake mushrooms I bought weighs 25 grams (appx. 40 mushrooms -the math doesn't add up). When I try to weigh them on my scale 4 mushrooms won't even register, they are too light. However the whole bag does in fact weigh 25 grams. The dried Shiitake mushrooms I have bought have their stems removed maybe this is part of the possible discrepancy? Thanks Sigurd
