EnZym-Complete/DPP-IV - 1/2 capsule daily >>>This is qute bizarre and probably useless. If he wants him to take enzymes it should be with food, anytime he eats not 1/2 cap daily. I would recommend you use Houston anyway, they are much better. DAN drs generallly RX Kirkman products. > 2. ProBiotic Gold - 1/2 capusle daily in the morning > 3. Culturelle - 1/2 capsule daily in the evening Sounds reasonable As long as he doesn't have an allergis response to these supps, they are all quite safe MAndi in UK
Guest guest
-, Yikes-who could blame you for being overwhelmed! Forgive me please if this sounds offensive, but I think your DAN is completely nuts for telling you to try all that at once!!! Soooo many kids react to things and you will have no clue what works and what doesn't if you try it all right away. What an assault to your little guy's body, too. In just our experience alone, my daughter does not tolerate CLO; She does tolerate Culturelle, but not any other probiotics we've ever tried. Enzyme Complete was a bust with us, but the HNI enzymes got us off the gfcf diet successfully along with many other added benefits. We have added and removed many supplements over the years...I would really recommend taking it slowly and doing lots more reading. One great site-if you haven't been there yet-is enzymestuff.com Best of luck -- In , " noahparthasmom " <LesandSim@a...> wrote: > Hi all, > > I swear I've searched the archives, but my head is just swimming. Guest guest
Nope, don't give everything all at once. You just never know, and if you do it all at once, then you'll have a much more difficult time eliminating a problem supplement. All children are different. Just because it shouldn't be a problem, doesn't mean it won't be a problem, but that's after years experience. We do the CLO, this can be a problem if the source is contaminated, but Kirkman has a good product. We also do the Culturelle, we very much like it, but it caused constipation, and we needed the probiotic Perfect Stool Formula to move the poo out. So we use a combo of Culturelle and Perfect Stool Formula and are very happy. My son shouldn't have had a problem with the Vit.C and zinc the Doctor sent home with us, but he did. Never could have predicted that, but there it is, and because I introduced them only a couple of days apart, it took me awhile to decide if it was one, the other, or both or that particular combo. I too research everything to the best of my ability. I understand your frustration. Good luck to you and your child, those were the only two products I could contribute any user info. on. What do these supps do? > Hi all, > > I swear I've searched the archives, but my head is just swimming. I would try oral B12 first, because the shots are very high dose, and one of my kids got VERY over-emotional and started head banging [which he had never done before] when I gave him more than 200 mcg per day. > > We don't have any test results back. Are these things safe? In my *opinion*, unless your child does not tolerate them, everything except the B12 shots is safe. The B12 shots are safe ONLY if your child needs the high dose of the shot. > we had to work up to the recommended dosage and introduce one thing > at a time. He says to go ahead and give it all at one. ??? This would have caused one of my kids to possibly require hospitalization. Definitely start one at a time, at low dose.
